Everything was so flavorful and delicious!!! We came for supper and they did not have a buffet, so we ordered a bunch of dishes and were not disappointed. While everything was delicious, I particularly have to recommend the tandoori goat momo; for those less adventurous eaters the bbq chicken momo is a good substitute. We were even visited by the manager who made sure we were enjoying everything; I really appreciate their passion and commitment to good food. I also really liked that they were playing Indian music; it made the experience even more enjoyable.TLDR; fantastic restaurant, you just gotta come here!
I took a togo order of panner tikka masala and goat curry for lunch. The panner curry was good. But the goat curry, was like pieces should have been cooked for a bit more time and the gravy was too tangy with no spices. I feel goat curry would have been prepared well.
Highly recommended if you're around the NASA space center! We were hungry and great that we came here straight from the tour. They opened at 5pm so we waited in the car as we had reached early. The service was pleasing and quick once they opened up. Vegetarian momos came in a nice wooden basket. Tandoori momos looked great with the smoke coming out, and they tasted equally delicious! We also got Litchi Martini, it's perfectly made with fresh fruit and tasted great with the spicy food. The owner is very friendly and made Martini himself, especially for us! I wish we could try more of their dishes, but well, will keep that for the next visit!
Incredible food! The turmeric vegetable soup is addicting! It’s the first thing I have when I get there. Great variety in the buffet with lots of vegetable dishes. Tasty tasty tasty!! I’m so happy we found it! It’ll be a weekly event for us! We are lucky enough to have several really good Indian food places in Clear Lake, but the Himalayan Taj outshines them all!
Great food clean place and buffet price is average , plenty of parking and great customer service I recommend to try the cilantro chicken yummy
Delicious. The owner is such a nice guy with an excellent lemon tie. They gave us a special order Rogan Josh that was EXCELLENT! We also had the sag/palak paneer, garlic naan, and the steamed chicken MOMO (super yum). Never had Momo until then… so ducking good. It tasted like a soup dumpling, that’s how juicy the inside was. GRATEFUL ??
Great tasting food, nice atmosphere, clean. Obviously a popular place with locals. Just a small warning, some of the dishes are very hot.
Lovely food!! 1st time for thukpa and fell in love !! Must visit when in houston
Food was great, price was not, and neither was the service. Portions were extremely small for this type of restaurant. A salad was a few green leaves and a single slice of tomato. Shrimp for two was two pieces of shrimp. At least it was all delicious. Our name was wrong, they didn't have the food ready in time, there was not nearly enough staff for the occasion and when delivering the food to complete an order they don't even say a single word to let you know the order was complete. They just leave you wondering with your check on the counter next to the other 5 checks that they have yet to take off. For the price, I was hoping we'd at least have leftovers.
Plentiful seats and a warm staff welcome you into this nice Indian joint. The food is good. But the quantity and price are slightly on the higher side. So, please order carefully. The Thukpa is good and so is the biryani. Though the biryani isn't very close to Indian, it is flavourful. The Naan is quite like their Pakistani counterparts and are very fluffy unlike their Indian cousins. Not all the dishes in the Thali are nice. Specially the Chicken gravy is avoidable. The only part i did not appreciate is that the staff missed giving the sweet at the end of the Thali. Else, the place is recommended.
