So food was great, service great but I was dinning alone and my sister called to talk and 10 minutes into the call I got served this card I didn’t order. I just laughed and hung up the phone because there we’re people talking to their company just as loud as I was on the phone. There were even kids screaming in there but somehow the call crossed some lines. Doesn’t make sense to me be but patrons beware.
We have been dining at Houston’s Restaurant (now Hillstone) for over 20 years. Let me mention we are from Louisiana and this restaurant was always our first place to dine. We have NEVER been made to feel like we were not good enough to dine in their restaurant. The hostess had to get approval from two different managers before we could be seated. This was st the Kirby Street Location. Probably our last time there. And it was probably due to the fact that my husband had open toe shoes; but he had foot surgery and he cannot wear closed toe shoes. But they made us feel like trash.
The flavors that Houston's used to have made you go WOW! everything was seasoned perfectly, one never had to touch the salt and pepper shaker. Today, the food and plates were cold, hardly any flavor and the service just not as on point when it was Houston's. Hillstone is way overpriced for average tasting food. Not recommended.
Aaron was our waiter and he was the best waiter we’ve ever had. He made sure my husband had a rib cloth as soon as he was done, always refilled our waters to the top. Gave us more chips for our artichoke dip. Constantly checked on us. This is the best experience we’ve ever had in our lives. Thank you Aaron!!!!
Always delicious! Went to celebrate our first date announced, which we do yearly and had at the Houston’s Westheimer location 19 years ago!The service was spectacular and the food and drinks yummy and perfect!! Amazed when I read a poor review about this restaurant because each time I dine here, it’s consistent. Thank you to Hannah for making our anniversary perfect!
Great atmosphere and great food. Was a little busy but the wait was worth it for valentines weekend. Definitely will be back

Typically, I enjoy my time dining at Hillstone, and the staff is always terrific to my guest and me. On this last visit, I reported my steak was undercooked, and the bartender addressed it immediately. Still, the manager took the steak (after id had a few bites) and continued cooking it till the requested temperature. Historically, I received a new steak; not sure why not this time, especially during the pandemic where things must be sanitized.
I love eating steak I came here after work for a good meal the food here was not it!! Ordered the Hawaiian ribeye and it was mostly fat, my sides came with a baked potato and Broccolini, I didn’t want the baked potato and asked for extra broccolini I was told they couldn’t do any addons to my meal and it was regular broccoli that didn’t taste fresh. I paid 80+ for a very very pathetic meal. Manager there was very rude, she was a white lady with busted teeth, took my card from my table I stopped her because she wasn’t my server I asked her what was she doing, she still never addressed herself as a worker at this establishment only said “ I came to get your card as it was declined.” Oh yeah? You’re very snappy for someone that supposed to be more hospitable to your guest sweetheart. This place is definitely more of a chili’s and Applebee’s vibe with a bigger price tag, I will never come here again. The broccoli is the accurate amount you will get definitely not worth the money. Drinks were good though
