Really enjoyed eating upstairs with a view of the classic heights area. Very clean and nicely decorated. Food was delicious. We came at lunch so it was too hot to sit on the patio but will come back for happy hour next time once it gets cooler out. I took a star off because the service was sooo slow. Only one other table that had already finished eating by the time we were sat. Took us over an hour.
Found this gem and enjoyed an evening out for our dinner while in Houston. I had the fish and chips and my husband had the fried chicken. Food was good, only complaint is the flies that got in as the outside terrace door opened. The drinks were good and the food was good.
Excellent fish. Shrimp po boy is better than BBS and best in heights by far. Beer battered fish served with tarter sauces, vinegar, and fries is excellent as well
EASILY the worst restaurant experience in many, many years. Fell for the BOGO coupon in the mail. Called at 4 for a 5:15 pick-up, and was transferred 3X and hung-up on 1X. Arrived at 5; good thing cause the guy that finally saw me waiting at the register, inquired n I told him of my call-in order. He quickly grabbed his apron and darted to the kitchen. 20 minutes late(r), I sign n walk only to discover 5 minutes later at home, that the food matched the (lack of) service. The Eggplant Parmigiana was the worst: waay over-battered with a paper-thin, tough-stringy veggie inside, on a bed of dry, too-thick pasta. The other entree, Beer Battered Fish, was barely better (despite the over-abundance of fries to simply fill-out the carryout box). Buyer Beware! Won’t Get Fooled Again
We sat outside at the rooftop deck. Great views and atmosphere. No dress code required.
Food was great. Loved the pear salad and the salmon catch of the day. The only hiccup was my service. It was below average
