So I ordered the "southern fried fish with half grits half BURNT browns and soft scrambled eggs. This was the sorriest presentation of food ‼️ The person who allows food to leave the restaurant looking like that should be ashamed! If I were able I would have taken it back. The swai was falling apart when I tried to put it on a plate and the I guess you'd call it crust on the fish but it was falling off the fish. OMG!!! And the hashbrowns were BURNT ? I paid extra for onion and cheese to be added to the burntbrowns thinking they would grill the onions along with the burntbrowns but they BURNT the hashbrowns then sprinkled the onions on top and laid the cheese on it. I asked for SOFT scrambled eggs and because they use imitation eggs my eggs were fried hard with the tomatoes I paid extra for was folded in the egg layers they weren't scrambled. My thing is why would you give the customer a choice if you're going to cook the food the way you want! The way that food looked I don't believe the cook would present that to their family. The hashbrowns were utterly ridiculous!!!! One of three things or all maybe true.... the grill at this restaurant is nasty...the person does not know how to cook hashbrowns....or they just don't care. I see a lot ok good reviews but it looks like they don't care about the food presentation or quality to doordash customers. I've ordered breakfast with hashbrowns twice and both times they were BURNT!! Yesterday May 2nd 2022 was the last time hanz diner get my ??? ZERO ⭐️'s
I do door dash , This lady is the rudest person I ever met …. mala actitud!!!! Very very rude !!! Spoke to her in order to pick up an order she turned and looked with out saying a word . After asking for the order I read the Oder in front with the name I needed she SNATCHED THE ORDER and said no no , I stated that was my order but I’d like to deal with terry because I don’t like how you treat me , she said it’s either me or no body and then refused to help me … I tried to avoid conflict but she wanted to make a statement I’m guessing … I don’t think she is racist yet she did not speak to any one of aby other color that way . Please save your money do not eat here she coughs on her hands and doesn’t wash them but handles others food

nice restaurant. i guess i just ordered the wrong entree. meatloaf wasn't anything to talk about. fried okra was really good. mashed potatoes from scratch with potato peels still in it for authenticity. but i forgot to ask for gravy on them. and i chose cornbread which was also a mistake. it was good cornbread, just too sweet to pair well with the mealI'm gonna have to come back and try something else
The person who talked about the car break-ins was 100% telling the truth! Decided to give this place a try today. In the middle of our meal, one of the waitresses pretty casually announced that a large SUV had all of it's doors open in the parking lot. Sure enough, one of the patrons went out to find his truck had a smashed window and a bunch of stuff had been stolen. There are signs that say the place is under surveillance, and you can clearly see cameras on the sides of the building, but I swear I heard that same waitress say they don't work.They only have one handicapped parking spot that I could see. The sign clearly says van accessible, but either people don't care and park in the loading zone, or they simply do not have a loading zone. We ended up unloading by the front door and then I went an parked. The threshold for the main front door is pretty awkward too. Not a smooth transition whatsoever.As for the food, it was just okay. Nothing to write home about. Our biscuits were super dry. Maybe some things are better than others. Not sure I'll be back to find out.
First time going and totally LOVED the place !! From the mom and pop type of atmosphere to the genuine home style cooking. It was great. You owe it to yourself to try this place. Bring an appetite the plates are huge
So my mom talked about this place so much that i had to try it our for myself. And let me tell you, as she told me they wouldn't, They did not disappoint! The food is very good. So me not knowing that beforehand, that they are very generous with their servings ordered the chicken wings with half hash and grits wit scrambled eggs. Had a taste for pancakes. Ordered pancakes. Thinking they would be small. Well picked up my order and wonder why i had so many containers lol. Them pancakes are huge!!! And you will get full off of them. They are thick and fluffy. I ended up eating only the pancakes and the rest of the food for dinner. The chicken was very tasty. Well seasoned. Again generous portions of sides. I would definitely recommend Hanz Diner for your breakfast needs. I plan on going back to try some more of their items over time.

my new go-to breakfast spot... it will be yours too... the best breakfast in town... hands down... blows the hop and dennys chain places away... and is way better than that black bear joint... awesome food... huge portions.. friendly and speedy service... for the price of a fast food joint mcmuffin or croissant you can have a real home cooked meal.. good coffee... real texas style grits in a big bowl.. traditional breakfast.. tasty skillets... texas style chicken fried steak/chicken/chops/wings/steak etc... with eggs... waffles... pancakes... you name it.. they have it.. gonna try their lunch too soon... just a half block off the freeway... across from harbor freight... next to a pawn shop, but it's so affordable, you won't need to hock anything to have an awesome breakfast... go get you some...
Always got hanz from Uber but this time i picked up and restaurant looks so warm and homey. Wish it was closer to where i live, would love to dine in everyday. And the food is AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
