I wasn't happy with me and my wife's orders last night. We both felt like we were cheated on the fish. First off I wondered why the fish was mostly under the fries instead of on top as usual. I dug the fish out and was shocked to see it was missing quite a bit of the usual portion. There were a few scraggly peices that when I put them all together for the picture revealed I was indeed shorted. Worst still is how they dared to insult my intelligence like that. I would have taken a picture of my wife's order as well but she had started eating before I got out of my fancy clothes and made it to the table. I've been going there every Friday for months now but I think I'll find another place to get our Friday fish.
It wasn't busy, waiters were wearing masks and were friendly. We tried the gumbo which was delicious. We also tried the wings, and those were pretty good, only thing with that is that you can only do 1 flavor in an order of 10, that was the only downside. Other than that I definitely recommend this place.
My go to Seafood fix!!!! And if you are a chili head like me! They will make it spicy! The on menu New Orleans Spicy is spicy for normal people and more than likely burn for days... but I personally request customize 5x that level for me (I bring Carolina Reaper powered with me if your are curious of my spice level)! And yes! There's tons of flavor at that level of spice!Hanks is one of the better places I've been to with tons of flavor.. Ayo! Yummys... you need to go back into R&D cause I used the left over seasoning from Hanks to make your dish better...and that goes to HotNJuicy in Vegas too... just saying...
I’ve been coming to Hanks for about 5 years now. It’s always great, but todays experience was the complete opposite. We tried to dine in. It’s Tuesday. We sat there for 20 minutes with no acknowledgement, no drinks. We made eye contact with the guy serving the outside and he never came by. So at this point I decided to call as I sat there to place a to go order. All 3 times I called I was placed on hold and hung up on. I walked over to the to go bar, the girl had the phone in her hand talking to the guys in the kitchen, she made eye contact and came over and told her we’ve been sitting for 20min and no server has came to take our drink order. She said “Yeah, if those are taking long then the food is going to take long too…” pink hair Caucasian girl. I said okay, well I’ve also tried to call and place a to go order and you keep putting me on hold and then hanging up. She said “yeah sorry.” ….. so I left. I really didn’t want to speak to her anymore since she wasn’t being helpful. I then decided to call again and give it one last chance, I called 5 times, all put on hold and then hung up on. The last time I told her that she keeps putting me on hold and hanging up and see if she hears me, but she wasn’t hearing me. I don’t think she was interested in taking any orders. As much as I enjoy coming here, customer service is huge for me. Especially if I’m going to spend my money there and tip the servers.
It was ok gave a it a three because felt the shrimp was not up to par for the meal I got. Service was good though overall I'd have to get something else to change my opinion but I'm stuck on a three
The food was good and we weren’t waiting long. The only problem I had is that I had ordered a side order. It never came. I reminded the waitress three times and still never got it. She brought the check and I just asked her to take it off the total since we never got it and we’re done eating. They did it promptly and with apologies. They were busy during that time so I’m not getting angry about it. They took care of it.
Maybe my standards are too high as a Louisiana native. OR maybe this to go order was a miss.Maybe when you dine in you have better quality crawfish. First visit at this restaurant, I saw the great reviews but was disappointed. These crawfish had probably been sitting somewhere all day. They were over saturated to the point that the shell would hardly peel. Won't be going back. Boil house in midtown gets my vote.
Great place to be on a early Sunday afternoon. Atmosphere is tight and family like environment. The service is top notch. Sat at the bar and ate the Cajun Chicken Alfredo pasta. Absolutely the way to start or end the day. Filling for two, more than enough for 1.
Best experience ever , the crawfish was cooked well and season well . The staff was friendly. I would recommend this place to my friends and family. No bad experience at all . Nothing Supreme about Mr. Supreme Butler’s customer services on 2/14/2022 @ 6:55 p.m.Went into Hanks’s to celebrate my 45th birthday with my family. We were told the wait was 45 minutes to an hour for a table of (7). We happily waited our time, when the hour had arrived, we asked the Hostess if we could be seated. We were informed that we had to wait another 45 minutes to an hour for another table to clear to be seated and served.While I understand Valentine's Day at 5 pm was a busy time, I didn’t understand why they sat smaller parties at tables that could have accommodated us. When brought to the attention of Mr. Supreme, we were told we would not be sat because they were short staffed and apparently the information provided by (2) of the Hostesses was relayed incorrectly. When we I informed Mr. Butler, I was disappointed in his service, he responded very rudely and loud, “I don’t care if you write a bad review or report me, even followed us out of the door yelling his full name.I have heard nothing but great things about the food here at this location, which is why we drove out of our way patronize this location.I have never felt so embarrassed and threatened by management at a restaurant.However, I am glad this did not ruin my night and special occasion, the waitstaff at French Quarter was extremely nice and very accommodating
