My favorite sushi place in town, especially for dates. They never have enough parking, never have enough seats, and you really should call ahead beforehand. But it's absolutely worth it. The really good stuff stays on their menu, and the things being rotated out rock too. Just ask your waiter their opinion and "roll" with it. Be sure to tip well.
This place was really good. We basically ordered the whole menu and there wasn't a single dish that wasn't bussin. The Toro was really well marbled and melted in your mouth. All the hand rolls were fresh and the rice was flavourful and had a great texture. The seaweed was crunchy and the fried shallots were a great touch to the handrolls that had if. Overall one of the better sushi places I've been too. The uni was really creamy but was missing some flavor. I also want to the thank the chef and our hostess Taylor for taking care of us!
Surprisingly delicious, I was there for lunch, expecting regular sushi and experienced the deliciousness of favor exploding hand rolls; the avocado and the cremini are the best. Friendly service.4 stars only because they don't have fried rice or any deserts and the sashimi is cut too thick.Street parking.
The servers and chefs were friendly and attentive. The food fresh and delicious! Great presentation with a perfect mix of flavors. Will definitely be back. Parking can be challenging, only street parking. Small restaurant with limited seating, reservations are highly recommended!
i ate here a while ago since it was recommend by my friend. i remember the menu was quite limited but i was able to order most of the things i like. their handrolls are flavorful and delicious. you would definitely have to make a reservation here because they only have about 10-15 spots. the noise level is quite high and even on a weekday before dinner, you can see this place half way crowded. the server forgot his name but he was sociable and i really liked their decorations on the table. overall i recommend this place and i wish they offered take out or delivery.
I think this might be a top sushi restaurant in Houston if not Texas - if I had to point out anything “bad” it would be that there was not an option of for “desserts” but the food was amazing. The parings between the fish, vegetables and sauce were amazing. The atmosphere was great, our waiters and chefs were so nice. I would recommend this place to anyone.I had a- Japanese cream soda- Maguro Crudo- Kanpachi- BGB Sake hand roll (King Salmon)- Hamachi hand roll- Spicy tuna roll- Then there special Crudo for the night which was a Lemon Loup
Everything is delicious ? super friendly staff
The sushi chefs here are great at pairing different types of flavors together that you would think of. The omakase here is amazing to your taste buds. I ordered almost everything on the menu and everything taste wonderful and refreshing. The environment is super homey because there's like 20 seats at the bar. Great experience.
hiden gem spot, 5 star easily. First time visiting and it was delicious. The vibe were modern and very clean. The sushi chef & the staff was very friendly and helpful! Worth driving 3 hours to come here. Definitely coming back again!
Small place with a bar and only seating around the bar. This place was surprising to my friend and i. It is more like a meet here for drinks n an appy then we go somewhere else for a steak dinner. The menu is very limited but the sushi was exceptional. We just ordered every crudo after inhaling the first 2. The presentation of the crudos were delicate and beautiful. Applause for the guy who used his tweezers on the crudos! I enjoyed the smoked lox crudo and lychee cocktail the best. My friends top pick was the spicy handroll. The $24 uni handroll was overpowered by the wasabi. That was a waste so hold the wasabi! Service was good and we enjoyed our conversation with Edward as he craftly made our rolls. Portions are small and we could have eaten double that menu. What we did devour added up to $177 w out tip. Even though we left hungry i plan on making a weekly stop here. So to clarify for people look closely at the menu! That is all they offer! Don't expect the 50 other items usually offered at other sushi restaurants like tempura, miso soup, udon, dragon rolls, california rolls, edamame, etc...
