Waiter was fantastic (I unfortunately donât remember his name) Food was outstanding had the Houston Restaurant Week menu. Havenât been here in ages as I moved to Katy but will definitely make a point to be back.
Scheduled a birthday dinner for my parents. Restaurant staff was very agreeable when I needed to move the reservation by 30 minutes. THANK YOU. We were seated immediately and the server took our drink orders. Throughout the meal, the server was FAST - quick to take empty plates, quick to refill waters, quick to bring the dessert menus, etc. At times this seemed a little pushy (hurry up and finish the meal), but it also felt like he was being attentive to our table, which was nice. The food was VERY VERY GOOD. My wife's linguini with clams had two closed clams (which means they were dead before cooking and shouldn't have been served), but otherwise excellent. My Chicken Francese dish was delicious, as well as my father's mahi mahi fish dish with shrimp. They comped one of our desserts for the birthday celebration. The meal was more expensive than I thought it would be, but not unreasonably so. Overall the meal met or exceeded my expectations and my parents enjoyed their birthday. Thumbs up!
Everything was great, except we didn't do our diligence to know that the Astros had a game at 1p on the day we were planning to have a lunch where we needed to visit. Everything was great, but the noise level was what you'd expect an hour before a MLB game across the street from the stadium.
Great good with excellent service. My server checked on us every 15 minutes to make sure we were taking care of. Grotto never fail me, I have been this Resturant many times and still is one of my favorite restaurants.
Service and promptness along with a great waiter helped to make the dining experience and delightful one. I highly recommend Grotto for a fine meal and excellent service.
Really good food, worth the price for the most part. Service during rushes can lack at times, but itâs understandable.
