The food lacked any Italian flavor - it was Italian in name only. The restaurant was not clean and very hot and humid, not sure if the HVAC was working. Our waitress was friendly but very tired as she was going completing a 12 hour shift.

Everything about Grotto was absolutely amazing! Our server did a wonderful job along with Yvette. They made me feel so special on my 30th birthday dinner with my family! Will definitely be coming back.
It was far too nosy last evening. The noise level during our previous visit was much lower. As well, my wife's drink order was never filled, so its charge had to be removed from the bill.

went here today with a professional group of educators for a leadership retreat luncheon. The server was rude and impatient from the time we were seated. The fish was supposed to be blackened grouper but was clearly undercooked and almost translucent (raw). When we asked about a replacement the waiter stated that the chef said it was cooked well done. You be the judge and jury based on the pictures provided. The manager exchanged the dish without hesitation. Thank you. Every single one of them. I expected more from such a nice establishment with a great ambiance. Undercooked fish is a recipe for disaster. Do better!
We went to Grotto before an Astros baseball game. It was the second game of a double header so we had a large crowd from people leaving the first game to people coming for the second game. Despite this, the restaurant did a great job on service and we were in and out very quickly. Food was great and energy in the restaurant was high. I would recommend both before a baseball game or anytime. Strongly suggest to make a reservation. It gets very crowded.

We came to an Astroâs game at Minute Maid park and The Grotto was recommended by a family member. We scheduled a reservation for 9 people at 5pm. We arrived shortly after 5pm and were seated immediately at a pre-prepared table for 9. The employeeâs were very respectful and professional. Everything was perfect. Waiters kept our drink glasses full and all food was served hot and in a timely manner. All 9 guests said their food was delicious and everyone enjoyed the restaurant. The restrooms were very clean with soap and towels available. We will return to The Grotto again!
