I love this place! We came for all vegan buffet night (Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays) and the options available were absolutely delicious. Everything was fresh and the staff was incredibly friendly. The prices are affordable as well. I love that's it's also connected to the ISKCON of Houston so there's a beautiful temple nearby. We will definitely be coming back for the vegan buffet!

I've come to Govinda many times and honesty it has always been a positive experience. The atmosphere is calm, the place is clean and artwork is wonderful, the food is delicious even though sometimes it is a bit spicy for me and the workers are super nice and attentive.I'm also glad that I do not have to worry about finding parking as they have a dedicated parking area right next to the restaurant.

The food was delicious! I prefer a little more spice personally but that can always be added. The special sauces available added the spice I needed. The people were so lovely and friendly. The service and smiles were awesome. Everything was authentically delightful, enjoyable and pleasing. I was told thatthe buffet menu changes everyday. I look forward to coming again soon! Excellent!

What a vegetarian/ vegan GEM:) Visited multiple times for Lunch or Dinner over the years and it is always so tasty! Of course parking is right across the street so that is nice. It is always so clean, peaceful, and the people are so kind. The food is full of flavor, great salad bar, and they have 3 vegan days too. I have been to many Indian restaurants in Houston and Govinda’s is one of my favorites!

This place was great! First time here and it did not disappoint. Authentic vegetarian Indian food in a buffet style. $12.95/person for any weekday dine-in meal. We also got a Mango Lassi and Hibiscus Tea, both of which were great. Also, I got a nice surprise from Yelp when I checked in that offered me 10% off. I was being ditzy *facepalm* and forgot to use it but still worth every penny! If you're new to Indian cuisine, don't be scared to go in. I personally love Tamarind Chutney with Papadam so I get excited when I see it. The Basmati Rice and Lentils scooped into some Chapati (think flour tortilla) is also always a favorite of mine too.The decor was beautiful and simple with lots of murals, the staff were extremely respectful and attentive, and there was lovely wind instrument music playing.Definitely will add Govinda's on my list of Houston favorites!

I finally made my way here for lunch. It was vegan and it was delicious. The staff were quick to assist and ensuring we had everything we needed. The food was amazing. We will be back

Where do I begin? The staff ( I think he is the owner) is so welcoming and nice and happy he asked how we found their restaurant. The food is good for the price they have salad bar hot main courses roti rice and dessert. We had the mango lassi and ginger lemonade was so refreshing. If you are looking for nice healthy vegetarian food you should visit !

Seriously family.. if you are ever in Houston, definitely eat here. It was the best dining experience I have ever had. The place was full of positive energy, the food was delicious and I was so full of energy, I didn't get to sleep until 3 AM. I am still full, energized and positive. Definitely going back. Less than 30 bucks for 2 buffets and beverages. The cookie were 5.00 each. All organically grown ingredients and the menu changes daily. I accidentally made friends with one of the managers last night with one joke ??? I told him, "I don't eat beef...the only parts of the cow I like are the cheese, ice cream and the mushrooms". He laughed and said he was going to use that.... I said, "By all my means, my friend."

We were looking for something light and vegetarian not far from the airport and we lucked into this place. The restaurant is in the ISKON temple complex with. parking right across the street from the temple complex (so you can get 'Darshan' too before you eat). There was a vegetarian buffet at lunchtime (on the day we came it was vegan day), and every item on the buffet was light, flavorful, and delicious. No onion or garlic as per norms, but that did not hamper the taste at all. Excellent food. The ambiance and decor was very inviting and colorful. Overall a very fulfilling experience.

The people working here are so incredibly kind, and the food is just as amazing. It is consistently something I get as comfort food, and the people working always make it a great experience. They only serve vegetarian food, and even offer a completely vegan menu on Sundays! Everything is made in house, and their samosas are crispy and well spiced. I never leave without at least one.Try their ginger lemonade! Not too sweet, and a strong ginger flavor that balances the tartness of lemon.
