Nice place with friendly and fun atmosphere. Good BBQ, and very nice staff.
Since I was in Houston, met up with a Michigan State Univ. buddy of mine for dinner. Since we were in Texas, of course had to do Texas BBQ. Ventured over to the Goode Company BBQ and had a beer from the cooler along with brisket on cheddar jalapeño bread with 2 sides; potato salad and macaroni & cheese. Totally delish from start to finish.
Great bbq...one of the friendliest staff and so clean. I recommend it all from the mac-n-cheese to all the meats...can't miss. That jalopeno bread was so yummy. Will come back. ADA wheelchair accessible. Dog friendly patio.
Really really good bbq. I’m from nyc and knew if I was going to Texas I needed some bbq. I got ribs and they were sooo good the sauce was great!!! I got them with Mac and cheese and potato salad. The Mac and cheese was great but the potato salad wasn’t my cup of tea. They also gave me a free pecan pie and was contemplating checking a bag in just so I can bring a pie home. Really good good. You can tell it’s really authentic when your hands smell like charcoal.
A quaint place with real Texas BBQ. I always like to come here when I am in Houston. Perfectly smoked meat, good beer and friendly service in a rustic ambiance.
Best barbecue in Houston. The brisket is melt in your mouth tender and the sauce is so good my youngest used to eat it with a spoon! Not too spicy and not too sweet. I like my brisket sandwiches on their onion rolls but the jalapeño cheese bread is terrific as well. We’ve been going there for over 30 years and the only time the meal wasn’t fantastic was when the roll seemed to be a day old. Still good but not as soft and fresh as usual.
Best pecan pie in the world. Better places in Houston for BBQ though.
Great vibe with outdoor seating. The food was amazing from a menu that is hard to decide from. Go where the locals suggest!
Placed online order at 8pm, 3 stuffed potatoes with chopped brisket, half a pound of sliced brisket and jalapeño sausage plus loaf of jalapeño bread. They gave us some weird tomato/marinara sauce as the BBQ sauce, if that’s their real bbq sauce what an unfunny joke, reminded me of spaghetti sauce from back in the high school cafeteria. The sausage and bread were fine but brisket was extra dry without sauce and the potatoes were extremely dry, worst bbq sauce in Houston, try PappAs BBQ and BBQ Pit Room before this place.
Great food and great service definitely will be back
