Wasn't the best BBQ. But I liked the different take on the sides. Green beans were excellent. Atmosphere is really cool. But a pretty place with mediocre food is meh in my book.
The baked potato with brisket and the jalapeno cheddar bread is awesome!! And the pecan pie is out of this world, you won't find another pecan pie like Goode Co's! And I love the vintage western ambience, it really gives this place character!! Please open the upstairs dining area soon.
I am a barbeque fan but the barbeque sauce seemed so watered down. I had the turkey but without good sauce, it was left lonely and lacking. The baked beans left something to be desired as well. I have had better baked beans out of a can. The bright spots were the jalapeno bread and macaroni and cheese. These items were good.
A Houston staple and go-to place for Texas BBQ. I've been coming here since I was a kid and it never disappoints. The staff is always friendly. This place is truly a Texas tradition!!
