First time customer. The food was delicious! I ordered brown stew chicken, rice n peas and veggies. Also a spicy beef patty! Everything was very good but the customer service was definitely below standard. I said hello and neither lady responded. Just asked, "what's your order?" Little eye contact... Could use a more personal, friendly touch. Poor customer service could be a determining factor on whether a person comes back or not! BUT the food was really GOOD!
The lady was very helpful at the front counter. I had the oxtail and the curry goat meal. Came with rice and peas plantains mixed veggies and a healthy portion of oxtail and curry goat. I had a couple of Jamaican patties which were excellent. I'm originally from South Florida. I have eaten at many Caribbean restaurants and Jamaican Patty places. They did an excellent job representing the islands. I was looking for that fresh warm coco bread ?. Next time I will ask the lady thank you for a delicious meal.
Very disappointed. The soup wasn't bad. I know people add sugar to their meat, which I still don't understand why, but something as expensive as oxtails, that's strictly a no-no. Portions were good, but as I picked up the first piece and tasted it, first thing I tasted was the sugar. I couldn't eat the rest, I only ate it gradually because I didn't want to waste my money. Hate spending so much money on food and leave disappointed. Never again. Why these people putting sugar in their meats? Only God knows
What a waste!!! I Shoulda knew by there not being a line on a Saturday afternoon that this place was trash ! The food has no seasoning whatsoever ! This is the first golden cross I’ve been to that the food was bad like this the two women at the counter they look uninterested, dry and miserable. They had awful attitudes. They both have bonnets on their head looking terrible! Do yourself a favor and save your money.
Don't eat here. They hardly if ever keep patties, they told me they don't take orders over the phone (before there was an app), and when I ordered on the app today and got there they were closed. No refund yet or nothing.Try the other closer to 610 if your mind is that made up about golden krust patties. This one ain't it.
Golden Krust is a great restaurant for dine in or take out. It’s a very clean and caring environment. Laureen has such great customer service and is so caring for her customers. She made us feel comfortable and made sure that we liked whatever we bought. She offered me and my husband samples and checked with us about the quality of our order. As a first time customer I am heavily impressed. Definitely will be making routine visits❣️
Ate here today. I liked the jerk chicken. Ordered the small plate w/ rice and bean with some curry sauce on it. It was quite tasty. Service was good as well. Good experience all around.
Flavors are awesome. Tastes of country cooking for me. I loved every bite I took.
My first experience with this type of food. I really wanted to try the "staple" beef patty. The store didn't have any. We arrived there at 3pm. So we ordered oxtail, spinach rice, and sweet chili chicken. Our drink was sorrel ginger. The rice and drink was very tasty. Unfortunately I cannot say the same for the entrees. The oxtail was on the salty side and I wasn't expecting the gummy texture. The chicken had the potential of being delicious however the skin was tough, kind of like leftover fried chicken. It was all dark meat. The meals came with plantain but I definitely don't think it was worth $45 (for 2 people)? still hungry
