First time at the hot pot experience. There were ALOT of options as far as meats and broths. We ended up all getting the curry soup base. The bar area was stocked full and everything looked fresh and not like it had been sitting out which is great because we ate around 3p. Our waitress was extremely helpful and was very engaging.....she even drew a Pokémon face on our receipt for our son.
It is a nice and clean place with beef, crabs, shrimps, and etc. the reason for the 2 stars is because the beef grade is below our expectations. For pretty much the same price for 1 adult and 1 kid, we’ve had much better wagyu grade beef at shabu zone. My 9 year old son is not a steak lover because of the thick texture, but he loves the tenderness of wagyu beef and would enjoy the beef, along with the noodles. However, he didn’t take a bite of the beef today as it was very hard to chew. I had to agree with him as I am a beef lover but had a hard time chewing this down. I don’t like sea food and went there for the beef, so I was disappointed.
Go Shabu was my birthday jam. Some of the coolest and most unusual Japanese cuisine I've experienced in my life. There is nothing quite like Shabu-Shabu -- having a hot-pot (and an INDUCTION hot pot cooktop!) right at your table to boil your soup of choice, and cook your meat & seafood of choice, besides the diverse buffet. It is gratifying to have as many thin slices of lamb or beef as you want, and see them go from raw to cooked in as little as 45 seconds. And YOU'RE the one doing it!So much fun. Just be sure to plan carefully while you're in there, as make one slip and you'll have more than a full stomach. Be mindful of the rules: "Take only what you can eat. $10 charge will be applied automatically for excessive waste."Well worth doing over and over again, and the price is great. Bring a friend or family!
Had the Go Shabu lunch on Friday, this was my first time trying something like this and I was very pleased I did. It kind of reminded me of Korean BBQ but with soup. I chose the lamb as my meat and loaded up with all my favorite vegetables. My husband got bacon and then loaded up on their seafood options. I probably wouldn't go in the summer but definitely any cold or overcast day.
Amazing fun! Servers helped us figure it out and then you get to start your own concoctions. Vegetables were fresh and seafood was beautiful - the thin shaved steak was a star. Trickiest part is picking your brother to fix everything in - but they have samples before you commit! Plan on taking friends and family when they are in town!
Really yummy broths to choose from & the bar if full of fresh ingredients! Definitely worth the price for the quality & quantity you get. Very clean establishment, definitely will be visiting again!
Really great place and great concept if you are looking for AYCE hot pot! I came in with a group of friends, and we all were given individualized bowls with our own choice of soup. I got the Sukiyaki broth which was very flavorful. They have a nice variety of seafood, vegetables, noodles, and sauces to choose from! They also have fresh cuts of meat. The stalls were well sanitized with plastic gloves available too.Only things I didn't like were that they limited to 3 plates of meat per round and each plate only had 3-4 thin slices meaning that you had very little meat before having to ask for more. This is not a complete deal breaker though as you get still unlimited rounds. We also ordered rice which came out kind of soggy and overcooked. The noodles could also be cut better. I added a bundle of ramen to my plate and it pretty much covered an entire plate, when really I only wanted about half as much, but it came as one long strand.Overall though, I rreally like this place as much as other places like Shabu Zone and would recommend here for anyone coming for a social meal with family, friends, or coworkers.
The service, the food and over all experience was excellent. Went for a lunch date for the first time and it was perfect. Me and my husband have never had hotpot before so this was our first time. And for our time we loved it. The miso soup is delicious and the seafood is very fresh and temp controlled. The sliced brisket was so good and I love all the fresh ingredients you can get and add to your soup. This quickly became one of our favorite spots. Perfect for date night or to enjoy with family.
Very good set up they have here, personal pots! Meat is pretty good and the broths are very nice. Buffet has good variety, typical hotpot ingredients. If you are in a group of +5 you will have to order more meat oftenEach plate has about +/- 4 to 5 pieces
Nice place to eat during cold weather!
