Finally visited George's Pastaria after living in the neighborhood for a few years now and driving by it weekly. I can see why it's a local favorite. The food was fresh and delicious but service is why I give it 5 stars. I was with my 3 littles, and they anticipated all my needs to make what typically is a chaotic restaurant experience with 3 kids a really enjoyable dining experience. I ordered the clam linguine with spicy marina and it had a nice but not overwhelming basil flavor with the right amount of heat. I definitely recommend and will return.
Well priced great atmosphere family-owned and very tasty. Will definitely be back
If you want authentic Italian cuisine, this is the place! Everything is fresh and cooked to perfection. The staff are friendly and professional. Great dining experience!
Been looking for a decent pasta place in Houston since my arrival to this City 7 years ago. I haven’t been looking desperately but I’m 7 years been in around 10 places and none of them were up to my expectations.George Pastaria finally ended that bad record this year. Found the place. Coincidence and now I just love it.Food has soul in here, you can tell is made by detailed oriented people or cookers that have strict and straightforward directions so food comes out as authentic as possible and with good flavor.Pasta is serve mostly al dente, sauce has a very good intense taste, they have a nice wine selection and service is very professional and polite.Place gets busy specially at nights and I understand why. Very good option when having good Italian food cravings it won’t disappoint.
their staff pays extra detail for customers who reserve special occasions there. They personally gave a greeting me and although it was nothing big it's the thought that counts. Will definitely come back again because I wanted to try their whole menu based on what I have eaten there so far. I tried the linguine pescatore. Definitely a must visit in the area
Locally owned italian restaurant. We visited on a week day evening and it was packed! Quickly greated and seated and a kids menu and paper activity sheet was readily available for our preschooler. We had a variety of entrees from kids spaghetti to chicken marsala, lasagna, and seafood maximo. All offered generous portions. Everyone enjoyed their dish. Very down to earth atmosphere. Only downside was a bit of slowness in the service. But it was quite busy when we visited.
Best Italian food in Houston! The sauce on the spaghetti is outstanding. I have had many other dishes and all have been over the top good. The wait staff is friendly and very attentive.
We got the dinner for two and we’re absolutely blown away. We were a bit weary of the price at first, but for $30 you get a huge quantity of delicious food.Everything we got was fantastic and we had zero complaints.I would highly recommend the dinner for two as you get to try a large variety of items!
If you’re looking for a delicious fettuccini alfredo, spaghetti, calamari and garlic bread. This is the place to be! Service is great and the ambiance was really nice too. It looks like everyone kinda knows each other. So it’s a really nice homey small business restaurant. I’ll be back for sure.
Had take out from here a few weeks ago! It was delicious even 20 minutes after we picked up our order, George, and who I can only assume is his wife are very nice people! Definitely dining in next time!
