Amazing service, great prices, and great food!! I really appreciated that they came and changed our tray so many times. Our waiter, Walter, was very friendly and attentive. I really liked the pork belly and bulgogi. The macaron ice cream was also very good so definitely give those a try. ( also the pics are kind of bad bc I screenshotted them from a video )
I’ve never had Korean BBQ before and it was honestly amazing. Staff was great and helpful and they gave us tips on how to cook the food to perfection as well as suggestions on what to try.
Great lunch deal, all-you-can-eat for $19.95 per person. The atmosphere is great and our server was very friendly and checked on us frequently. There are both cooked dishes and uncooked meats on the menu, I recommend the short ribs for the precooked dish and the spicy bulgogi for the one you cook yourself. The servers come and check to put a new grill on as well so you don’t have to worry about cooking on a charred and burnt surface every few dishes or so. Overall good experience, worth coming with friends and family when hungry :)
SUCH a fun place to go. we went last Thursday and the wait was pretty long, but they have a sort of timer? it is sent to you with a link on your phone and your able to see how much longer your estimated wait is. the parking is in downtown, we parked in a garage right behind it, and didn't have to pay for parking! it is served buffet style, with only 4 meats served at a time! it was so good, the waiters are so swift so keep in mind they are going to be there every 10-15. we had so much fun there, and able to try so many meats. last pic is what it looks like when you first arrive and everything else is through out the night!
A great place. Yesterday was pretty chaotic due to how busy it was but still, we enjoyed this place and food.Friendly staff. At some point, our server took a bit longer to get one of our orders but that was understandable. The place was packed. We got extra food like twice that we did not order, but we cooked it anyways and ate everything. I recommend this place to those who love meat, those who are vegetarian. Good luck, lol.My friends and I will be going back to this place for sure next time.
Parking during peak hours can be challenging. There is a shared garage for all the shops / restaurants in the complex, but it was already full at 5:30pm on a Saturday. Valet parking is an option, but there is also street parking in the area if you drive around a bit (standard free after 6pm Mon-Sat, inexpensive meters during the day). The place was quite busy when I arrived. The staff at the check-in station were very friendly. The wait was 1hr - 1hr20min. They took my phone number and name and texted me when my spot was ready. The bar was pretty busy inside so I walked around the corner to Beer Market to wait. They pinged me right at one hour that my table was ready. They put me at a booth right on the corner of a walkway junction. I think that helped with the service because it was excellent. I had three or four different staff regularly checking on me to see if I needed anything and confirm everything was good. The food was delicious. The spicy soup was tasty. The banchan were all pretty tasty. The meat was good. I really liked the rib fingers (juicy), pork belly and the pork cheek (peppery). The main server was very helpful in selecting items. The veggie option was a little disappointing although the pineapple turned out amazing. The pancake dessert was really tasty. I liked that it wasn't overly sweet. Overall, it's a fun experience, good for groups and priced very reasonably.
Lunch at Gen was a great experience! I had not been in a Korean bbq restaurant. This place was fun! We sat with a grill on the center of our table. Our waiter was kind to us being our first time there in the restaurant. He helped us keep our food from burning.they change the grill. He taught us how to cook it for next time. I learned they change your grill every time you cook a set of meats. Food was good!! The music well…good energy! I saw all ages enjoying this great food and experience. Will go back with my son! Hate he missed it!
It was delicious. The waiter could have been a little faster but other than that very good . Would recommend definitely.
Overall bad experience. Food was lack luster. What made this a bad experience was their lack of customer service and disrespect. One of the managers raised their voice at us after we requested our card back after waiting 40 minutes to get our check back. Don’t waste your time with this place. Over hyped and needs a reality check.
