Food is delicious. The staff is great. Just on this one occasion our waiter completely disregarded us for at least 20 minutes because he was helping someone else with a party of about 8. All we needed was the check. We tried to get his attention, and the other waiter's attention, but they would never look at us. So that's my review for today only. It's usually not like that.
Our favorite Mexican restaurant. We have been visiting this location since 2004. Never had a problem. If you visit, ask for Speedy! He has been our "Go to" since the first time we stepped in the building.
Loved it, got mine to go food was hot, and tasted great! Might be one of the best restaurants for enchiladas I've had in the past few years / months
Really enjoyed this place. Service was extremely polite, felt right at home. Food came out fast. Shrimp cocktail was loaded with shrimp. California burrito was HUGE and full of flavor. Really happy I found El Palenque.
After 10 visits to this restaurant, I can say that the staff are all very friendly and efficient. But the food is awesome! All the classics (tamales, enchiladas, fajitas...) are all excellent as is everything else on the menu that I have tried.
We used to go here at least twice a month. Food and service are great. A little pricy for our budget now but it's understandable. Enjoy having Speedy as our waiter. See you soon.
They have amazing food all around including margaritas. We had an amazing time. Just on the pricey side now and out of our budget. Prices almost more than doubled since we've been and it was a bit of a shock.
We lived only a couple of miles from this restaurant many many years ago. Moved to North Carolina in 1996. I can't believe well I should believe that El paleque is still here. Some things do not change especially good ones I hope always. This was one of the best Mexican restaurants I've ever had the pleasure to dine at. They've got great Mexican restaurants in North Carolina also but it took probably 10 years after we moved here before they became competitive with Texas.. Will always fondly recall our dining experience at El palenque.

We’ve lived near here awhile but only just started coming (wish we had sooner!) This was probably our fourth visit, the margaritas are tasty and the beef fajitas for one are both delicious and a BIG portion! Last night we had Speedy and he was AWESOME. Great service just makes the good food even better. Next time we come back we will ask for him specifically!
