LOVE this place. All of the breads, pastries and other goodies are always fresh and taste amazing!! When in the area, we always make a point to stop and pick out our favorites to take back home. The place is always packed. Staff is fast and friendly. Don’t see what you’re looking for, just ask.
I order a cake when I went to pick it up they came out with this cake smh the stickers all folded and coming off. I called the manager that made me feel like I was crazy that nothing was wrong with it this is unacceptable I will never go back 65 dollars wasted. Maybe they need to hide people that actually know what their doing.
Always packed but always delish. We haven't tried everything yet since they have different items every time we go but is by far very flavorful and authentic.
This place has amazing fresh treats for phenomenal prices. Would highly recommend to anybody and hope to return very soon!
Best place to get truly authentic Mexican pastries and bread! I love coming here all the way from the Woodlands. Great people very friendly and the food is amazing. The tamales are great! The bread is great! Homemade fresh warm flower tortillas! It doesn't get any better than this- and it's super cheap on top of it.
OMG they have delicious tamales about 6 different kind. The employees are super nice. The bakery goods are YUM ?????
The absolute best pan dulce in Houston, hands down. The ambiance, music and people are just the cherries on the unbelievably delicious cake.
Best place to buy Mexican bread. The bolillos (French bread) tastes better than what it did back in Mexico! The Rosca de Reyes is a must try in January.Pan de Muerto is another must try in November. The pineapple empanadas are also on point. We love coming here frequently. They also make fresh flour tortillas and they look really good.Must try if you’ve never tried it or are visiting Houston.EDIT: They don’t accept Discover credit cards
they have lots of variety of sweet breads. staff very courteous and polite. you'll find everything you need plus they sell all kinds of cakes and they have tamales right now.
This bakery will make you feel you are suddenly in Mexico City! There are so many different things to try, sweet and savory, simple or fancy but all very good. We had been visiting the Houston Farmer's Market across the street and wanted to stop here to pick up some baked goods. They have an interesting system here, no shopping carts or baskets but every customer gets a large metal tray and a set of tongs and then makes there way from food case to food case picking out things. You then get in line to check out and the cashier carefully puts all your items in a bag and rings you up so you can pay, she uses a clean set of tongs on her side so never physically touches your food. In this time of Covid we felt very secure that all precautions were in place. They encourage masks and have hand sanitizer at the door. There was also a lady selling fresh Mexican style chees and another selling tamales, you pay first at the check out and then show your receipt on your way out to receive these items.
