I would never go to a place like this in this part of Houston, but a friend really wanted to go there to meet a bartender she'd met earlier. This bartender, who I am told is named Chris, was unfriendly and intense from the get-go, as if she was on something (like way too much caffeine?) She seemed to want to stare me down, and was weird, like a robot who has no social skills and cannot respond to requests for service in a normal, friendly manner. I asked for one beer without a glass and asked that it be opened in front of me (I am a lawyer with some expertise with the problem of drugs being slipped in drinks at large., which is very common in all states). Chris had an attitude and acted as though I was imposing on her, then opened it before I was paying attention and I asked if she remembered that I wanted to see it opened in front of me - a reasonable request in today's world. Chris comes off as a very creepy person, and the way she stared me down and told me she would not bring me another beer was just not kosher - she is "off" in some way, clearly. So I asked for a manager to just pay and get out of there. The manager came, a nice-looking young man. I explained what I asked for and that I asked for him for the purpose of finishing the transaction without dealing with creepy Chris. In response to my request, he said, "We are not THAT place" (indicating that they protect open drinks, I assume). I responded that I couldn't possibly know that because I never even heard of the place - none of my friends would ever go to a place like this . . . But here is the weird part: I had placed my Dooney & Bourke handbag on the table right behind me, then turned around to face the bar to order a beer. Someone removed my bag from the table. When I turned back around, I did not see it and went to the car. I didn't even really think about it, as it was not in view and I wanted to bolt from this creepy experience. So I set down my full beer on a table on the way out. When I got to my car, the handbag was not there, so I realized it must have been moved from the table as my back was turned to talk that creep, Chris. I went back inside to see where my handbag had gone, and Savannah approached me with a white plastic garbage bag with my handbag inside, and said, "I have your phone and sunglasses, too," in a voice that sounded odd, accusatory or something She, like Chris, had a very intense and abnormal look to her - like she was suspicious or something. I left for good and will never go back to this place because in retrospect I believe that someone took my handbag quickly after I turned my back to order a drink. I think it was someone who worked there that removed my handbag from the table as my back was turned (but I did not see this). It makes no sense that I turned around after paying for the beer (that I didn't drink) and overlooked my handbag which should have remained right where I put it before turning to the bar, in plain view. I suspect they looked through my handbag, found nothing unlawful (of course), then returned it to me when I learned it had been taken (they had also learned by now that I am a lawyer because the credit card that I used to buy the beer has the law firm name on it). The whole experience was so bizarre, the employees had such nasty looks on their faces and such bullying attitudes, that I wanted to warn others so got online to do this. It is unreasonable and ridiculous for bar employees to "demand" that a customer blindly trust them without knowing them at all and never having even heard of this crappy place in an unsafe part of Houston. When I got to the valet and was obviously disturbed by the bizarre and hostile attitude I had encountered in this icky place 8-Row Flint, the valet was not at all surprised and said, "Chris." So I got her name from the valet, who seemed totally unsurprised as if this happens all the time. The valet was at Chivos and Chivos seems like a nice place, but it also seemed clear to me that the people at Chiv

After a last-minute meeting cancellation, called a client to have lunch. His criteria was for an outdoor dining experience on a day when the weather was fantastic. Oddly enough I ran into you a good friend in our business networking group who just finished lunch across the way. So what better way to spend an afternoon with two good friends, great food, a few cocktails and sitting in the sun. The watermelon salad it was fabulous with dusted with feta cheese and sunflower seeds. Who knew that a potato bun would make a great double patty cheeseburger! And the green chili ranch water, well!!! I had to have more than one.#JoeFoodTour #HowdyFromHouston #ThePropertyJoes

The tacos are good, meat portions are massive. Three tacos will have you very full. Fresh chips and good hot salsa. The cheese dip though is a little sus and taste too "healthy". (Cheese dip in my mind is not for healthy eating). The star here though is the whisky and cocktail list. Some a but overpriced and some good deals. Also some rare finds as well.

Exceptional cocktails and a food truck that rivals many full flown restaurants. Their old fashioned is classic, but their variety of ranch waters are truly standout drinks. They have a mix of classic and new age cocktails, and an excellent beer and spirits list. Fun atmosphere, especially on a beautiful day and the staff is always accommodating. Parking can be a challenge, but there's nearby parking offset the structure and in the streets adjacent.

I went for the $4 beers during their happy hour before 6pm on weekdays.Outdoor and indoor seating. Loved that they didn't have loud music like similar places do. Pleasant place to go and have a drink.Parking is small and gotta be careful where you park if there's no spots left, they tow at the parking lot across this place.

Love this place! Drinks were awesome! The setting was great when we entered, then the they dimmed the lights! Our waiter was very helpful and the food was satisfactory as well.

Pretty cool, chill place to have a nice whiskey and tacos. They use whistlePig whiskey in my old fashion which was delightful because that’s one of my favorite whiskeys. The tacos are supplied from a taco truck that is on the property and it was really good. The barbacoa was nice and moist and the corn tortilla was particularly good, charred just right.

This is a good location for trying some unique and well planned cocktails and drinks as the taste combinations won't be found elsewhere. The food on the other hand was, sadly, mediocre. There wasn't a lot of seasoning or flavor to the meal I got and both the drinks/food here is quite expensive.

Great drinks and outdoor area!

Everything is great. Service is great. Just overpriced in my opinion. If Cantina Barba had a larger selection of liquor I'd spend all my time and money there.
