If you're in Chinatown and want some really good Chinese food you need to visit this place you won't be disappointed. It was my first time here my wife, my son,and I tried the lobster, beef and broccoli, orange chicken, and spare ribs Japanese style. We will definitely be back.
The customer service was an A+. The food is very tasty and made fresh. This is a wonderful upscale Restaurant beautifully decorated.
The fried beef noodles were fantastic. Their menu has a lot of great dishes I need to try. The staff is so friendly.
Really good peaking duck. Definitely order the trimmings stir fried! Chicken fried rice, salt and pepper chicken, and eggplant hot pot was all amazing as well. It is BYOB so if you want a glass of wine or a beer you will need to bring that.
Every year at this time my husband and I take a day away and go get massages and dine at The East Wall!! We love their Peking Duck… it’s one of the best in Houston.Today we changed it up with the Steamed dumplings, Beef Sate hot pot and general tso chicken!! The duck wings as well!! They were amazing. The service is always great! It is atrue gem in such a busy area! Hope we continue our tradition for many years!!
Love East Wall, the best Chinese food. Usually get the Genral Tzo's and pepper steak extra spicy. So, so good ? Also always get the Chinese sausage fried rice its amazingly good add the bbq pork and egg. Thanks guys!!! ?❤
11/19/2021Disappointed by all the hype. We came for the bao Peking duck. Entire duck came on a platter garnished w julienned carrots, plus 8 bao. Skin was enjoyably crispy but meat was sliced really thin. Definitely not worth $42 for the dish (A Ly Restaurant is a tastier and cheaper option). Price appears to have been raised tremendously; was $32 per last year's review.Yongchi fried rice had good portions of medium sized shrimp, pork bbq, but the seasoning was lacking. Veggie delight was also lacking in flavor. Abalone mushroom slices tasted old and dry, shitaki mushrooms were much smaller than usual, and the ear mushroom were overcooked.Summary: Peking duck tasty but overpriced; other dishes were uninspiring.
A lot of the food came out different than how we expected. See the attached picture of their "szechuan beef" which turned out to be a sour soup?? They're also stingy with rice and only provide 1 small bowl for each family style plate. Service was generally slow and our servers barely spoke English or Vietnamese. We asked what food she recommended and she couldn't understand our question.
Great Chinese food we really enjoyed it!
Great food and good service, not much complaints from me although it wasn't very busy at the time so can't say anything for when it ever is packing.
