I visited this lovely restaurant a few months ago for the first time and I was very much impressed.This is a very popular place and reservations are a must. In fact, during a week day, we could only get a spot at the bar. No problem, the bartender is very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed sitting at the bar watching the action.The food was delicious. Expertly prepared and beautifully presented.A must visit.
To describe Doris Metropolitan in a word would be sublime. My wife and I were treated to an amazing dining experience. We were warmly greeted by the hostess and we were seated promptly at our table. Our waiter for the evening, Philippe was very gracious and attentive. The courses were prompt and completely delicious. We were celebrating our 10th anniversary and we could not have picked a better place to celebrate. We will highly recommend this establishment to everyone who has a passion for fine dining. Kudos to the entire staff for making our evening so very special.
Great open air restaurant with a delicious menu. Everything is incredibly well executed, from the scratch baked breads to the dry aged steaks. It is a bit on the pricey side for the food, but the quality of service showcases why you pay the premium. The waiter was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. You can tell the attention to detail they take with this place.
A wonderful change of pace! If you're looking for incredible steak, don't shy away from Doris because of its Israeli flair - that's what makes it so special. You can find great steak easily, but the bread, the presentation, the charming staff, and the overall vibe here is hard to find elsewhere (and my god the octopus!).Do yourself a favor and take a chance on Doris Metropolitan, you won't regret it.

The experience is beyond exceptional, and the attention to detail with every dish is incredible. Gigi, our waitress was more than attentive, but knowledgeable of every menu item. The Israel Sour was a repeat ... along with the bread!
Best restaurant in Houston-hands down. It is an experience to dine at Doris. The execution of every dish, consistency of quality and flavors are always top notch. The service, staff, and management of this team is beyond professional. I must say, the drinks are made just perfect every time. They offer an incredible wine list with recommendations that has never failed to deliver but the best. The Best restaurant I’ve been to in Houston hand down! Food was great, restaurant was clean, especially the bathrooms and the service was Impeccable! Definitely will be back!
