New management has resulted in inexperience, poor service and a marked decline in food. The waitress left all 4 place settings on the table, just for us 2. We had to remind waitress that we'd ordered wine, because it didn't come. I asked the waitress what were the mushrooms stuffed with, and she said "sauce." We ordered them, and they were "stuffed" with a bad-tasking meatball. With my salad, which was my entire meal, with salmon added, I was given only 2 teaspoons of salad dressing on the side, and the salmon was overcooked and dry. My husband's entree came before his salad, so he asked to be brought the salad first, then his entree never came. They never asked if we wanted a 2nd glass of wine and, they didn't top our glasses with bottled sparkling water; we did. The dirty dishes weren't being cleared as we ate; I took them to the waiters station to be out of our way. We used to Depend on Diana AG for a dependable meal before each performance; we've been patrons since they opened, as well as Artista's before that. Now I don't want to go there any more. I'd prefer to eat a PBJ before we head out to the theater.
My granddaughter and I had a wonderful time and enjoyed our meal. However, the bartender did not know how to make an amaretto sour. It is a fairly common drink, so I was very surprised.
Our recent pre-show meal at Diana was disappointing. Although our server was friendly, we experienced numerous service problems that made for a meal that was much less than expected. Among the problems we had: Our server didnât know how to open our wine. Once she got help with that she poured two full glasses without giving either of us the option to taste the wine, then placed the already chilled bottle of red wine in a full ice bucket. Our wine was not poured for us for the rest of the meal. We ordered salads and entrees. About two minutes after we placed our order a different server came with our entrees. He couldnât seem to understand why we didnât want those when our salads hadnât even been served yet, and wanted to just leave them on the table while we are our salads. We insisted he take the food back to the kitchen. A few minutes later, while we were eating our salads the server again tried to get us to accept our entrees. We did share this with our waitress and expressed we expected fresh food, not food that had been sitting under a heat lamp for 15 minutes. I donât think we got fresh entrees, because my chicken was dry on the edges, and while it was fairly hot the potatoes underneath were barely warm. My husbands pasta was also not very hot. There were other issues, but those were the two biggest problems. I understand that the service/hospitality industry are reeling right now, but I expect better when I dine out. Both of these issues point to a lack of training and poor communication. I donât think our meal was a good valueâ¦the food and service were not commensurate with the price.
Cocktails ordered first, but served after main course served. Wine served after salad served. $40 steak but should have been $20. Servers were friendly and kind. Convenient for show, but Food quality doesnât justify price.
Nice comfortable booth. Service was very good. Really enjoyed the feature menu item.
Going to see a Broadway show and hadnât been here since it changed to Diana American Grill. Food was great and service was very good other than our server may have been new and had to figure out a few things when we were ordering. He did a great job overall and got us out in time for the show. Steak was tender and my husband said his prime rib was excellent. We will be back!
This is an excellent place to dine either before or after seeing a show at the Hobby Center. They have a variety of meal choices.
Waitstaff was great. Thanks for the child menu for this pre-theater dinner with grandkids
Thanks for the awesome tanle and service / the food was delicious, including cocktails - and timely sonce we had an 8pm event / thank u! Will def go back ;)
Great improvement! Many new dishes on the menu. We tried the swordfish and the cioppino -- both were very good. The new chocolate tart is also very tasty. It was so nice to have more options. Service was excellent. The wine list is still impressive. Thank you for continuing to offer pre-ordering dessert to have at intermission.
