To whole sum up the experience of the tasting menuPros:Love the vibe, the intimacy & how attentive the staffs were. Parking is spacious too. The eggplant chips were deliciousCons:The garlic soup & olive baba (pic below) were horrible in taste. I like the idea to imitate it as an ice-cream cone but they need to focus the flavor of the food. Super salty, most of everyone just left the food untouched after their 1st bite. Even the foie chocolate was salty, like eating a bunch of salt in your mouth that was so bad that i had to spit it out.The music was great but just too loud, we couldn’t hear each other talking.Overall, food was just okayish, kinda overrated for that price. Surprisingly the best dish was actually the starter Eggplant chips
This place is not hyped up enough. What an experience! I adored everything about my night at Degust; from the fantasy themed entry room and sparkling wine start, to the golden girls photos all around, and the main dining room with the music, lighting, energy, and ambiance - Gold. Oh and I haven't even mentioned the fabulous food yet! That lobster ceviche was another level. And I loved interacting with the chef, som, and the entire crew. They know how to tell a story and make you feel right at home. The pace was actually a bit fast and I wish I had a tad more time to savior the food but the portions were a great size and I was happily full at the end. The music does get loud but the sound track was great. I highly recommend only going in pairs since a larger group would never be able to converse over all the noise. That being said, my girlfriend and I had a fabulous time. The drink pairings were different and interesting and I loved trying wines I would have never picked on my own. This place does it all and they do it right. Yes, it's worth the money. Yes, you should go now.

This is a great experience! You are greeted warmly at the door and catered to throughout the night. The staff are so fun and enthusiastic. The food is interesting and well planned. Much labor goes into every bite. This is our second time here and we will keep coming! The chefs RE invent and refine the menu.
A one-of-a-kind dinner experience for sure!My brother and I happened to snag a dinner reservation here, and it was well worth it!We had 13 different courses during this visit's tasting menu and I left stuffed! The wine pairing was awesome and very well thought out. My favorite courses included the garlic soup and the Moscato, the cheese course made of Oaxacan cheese, and the eggplant chips with Romesco sauce. The intimacy of this restaurant and entire presentation that these folks display is unlike any other restaurant in Houston. Honestly if Houston had Michelin Star restaurants, this place would make the list.They're always changing their menus so I'll definitely look for a future occasion to dine here again! Next time, I'd like to try Diversion cocktails next door.
We had an amazing and unforgettable experience eating at Degust! The food and wine pairings are taken to a high art form. You can tell they put their heart and soul into the development of their dishes and their style of presentation. All in a cozy setting with easy access to the chefs and sommelier for explanations and details of what was being presented. It’s pricey, so this is a special occasion destination (but well worth it). We highly, highly recommend Degust!
Amazing culinary experience in a super fun atmosphere. Everyone was very friendly and made us feel spoiled and appreciated. We sat around the chef counter that encircles the preparation area which enabled us to interact with the chefs and other guests. The shared experience creates a really positive energy. Each plate was presented with a narrative from one of the co-chefs. You even get to hear personal anecdotes and cultural/historical influences behind these unique creations. So much creativity and thoughtfulness go into every dish! These guys are passionate about food, and it shows. And I love that the ingredients are locally sourced. Also worth mentioning is the friendly sommelier who introduced us to a fun new wine and made us feel like old friends.
