It was pretty good . I took off one star because it was a little pricey (est of 30$ per meal) and the mac and cheese wasn’t that good. It was a little dry. The jerk wings were good! The cake was really good! I got the red velvet and banana pudding cake. I will be back !
This place was recommended but I’m not impressed. The Only thing good was the icing. We ordered strawberry cupcakes and they were very dry. The grass was still on the strawberry still has grass but they were sweet.
A friend of mine told me about this place and it's crazy that I always drove pass this place and never knew they sold soul food. It is by far tha best tasting soul food I've had ??
I’m only giving two stars because the German chocolate cake was moist and homemade! I got two cupcakes (strawberry and banana pudding) both were cold and dry and they were sitting on a shelf when I purchased them. I also got a strawberry shortcake and a side of cabbage! The side of cabbage took 25 minutes to receive after purchase. It was firm (they should have cooked it much longer) Lubys cabbage has more flavor! This cabbage simply tasted like butter, pepper, and vinegar! I wanted to love this place but for $30 I’ll pass.
I ordered different cupcake flavors and a cake that they had. Myself being a baker, I decided to support a business during my trip to Houston and I was so unhappy. The cupcakes tasted bad. The icing was 10x worse. The smell of the food lingered on the icing. The strawberry cupcake tasted like a bad box mix. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!
I’m sorry but the food made me mad I paid 25 dollars for a plate that taste like salt and pepper it doesn’t even have a taste. They make the pictures on the web look so pleasing, but when you go to grab a taste it doesn’t even have flavor to it. The only thing I liked was the gumbo everything else is not it. The bakery area with cakes are super stale & hard like it’s been sitting out for a day or 2 just unsatisfactory. I feel like they overcharge people for bad quality of food and taste. Not coming back.couldn’t add a photo because I threw the whole plate away it was nasty.
I wasn’t sure if I should rate a 2 or 3. The presentation of the food will really trick you. It looks amazing but it’s definitely not. I ordered the seafood & shrimp bowl. Not great quality and don’t waste your money on this. The sad part is I could have made this at home way better but wanted to treat myself. It’s definitely worse if you reheat.

I've been wanting to go here for months and they did not disappoint! I got the fried chicken dinner and the salmon and shrimp dinner; big portions and excellent flavors. I got stuck in traffic and the fried chicken meal didn't make it home and that salmon and shrimp was enough for two people... I'll be coming back every week, see y'all soon!
I knew this was about to be good when I could smell the food through the box. This food was sooooo good. Didn’t really care for the skin on the salmon but it came right off which confirmed it was cooked correctly. ???? The service was great.
