I used to come here with friends in the late 1990's when I was in high school. Today we all met up for a reunion and I was shocked at how much this place has grown!It went from a small building with a gravel parking lot to now this large building with multiple rooms and even has a play area for kids outside. I'm glad to see a small business doing well, growing and thriving 25 years later.Food was great! I had the swiss mushroom burger, a little messy but delicious! I haven't had crawfish in years, so I got a pound to go. They smell great, I'll update to let you know how they taste.Crawfish update: The seasoning is perfect!! Even our 6 year old at some! If you're on the fence about getting them - do it!!
I've lived here all my life and have never given Clay's a try!! And wow, what a lovely staple in the community this family restaurant is! It had wide space for the kids to run around in, the staff was all courteous and welcoming, restrooms were CLEAN and the food was tasty!! Linda who greeted us and brought us our food was soooo fun and enjoyable. And made sure our night went well. They honor military here as well! The ONLY 2 things I could suggest to make Clay's perfect is 1.) Closing the area in the kids field that leads out to the parking lot. I did not know it was open there. Any child could wander out into the lot or (God forbid) get kidnapped. And also, you have a sand pit but no wash area for the kids feet! Just add a fence to the kids area and a wash station and I'd say Clay's has it in the bag! Will definitely be back!
This place is huge!! Great staff and good food! My husband ordered the Roger Burger which he says was tasty. I myself ordered the Chicken Fried Steak (Reg) with a baked potato and fried okra. Everything was seasoned very well , will definitely be returning. ( you pay for drinks and your meal first) ..
Friendly staff, amazing facility for families and big groups, and fantastic food! I tried both the cheeseburger and the chicken strips, both were quite good and made with high quality ingredients. Next time I’m choosing the fries over the onion rings, though. The $2.50-ish up charge for the rings wasn’t worth it to me, but they were still good.
Such an awesome and welcoming place to be with family or on a date night! Love the scenery here and their food was really good and fresh! Will come again!
The food was poor and the beer was expensive $6.00 and it wasn’t even cold. They expect a tip to bring the food to your table but never come back. This place does not compare to other comfort food places like a Mia’s. The chicken died steak was 1/4 inch thick. I would never recommend this place.
Delicious food and fun atmosphere. My only feedback for improvement is that we were playing in a baseball tournament nearby. Several families from our team met here for lunch. We went to the counter to order our food and got our own drinks. Yet, we were charged a mandatory gratuity because we all walked in together. 18%. I am never against gratuity at a sit down restaurant where you are taking my order and getting my drinks. I waited tables for many years. Although, if you don’t grat me, you will be tipped more. I have never been charged a mandatory gratuity when I order at the counter just because we came in together. No tables were rearranged (totally fine bc we all sat in the general same location). Our food was brought to the table by different people so we were not assigned a server. We were not checked on and we got our own drink refills. I am very confused for the mandatory gratuity at this style of restaurant. Again, Delicious food, friendly people, fun atmosphere! Buuut this practice should be reevaluated.
Clays has fantastic crawfish. Flavor is there, they peel easily and they are spicy the way I like! Today was our second time there and we decided to try some other menu items. While we were once again extremely pleased with the quality, presentation, serving sizes & flavors, the service once again failed us. Our first trip was late night (which we were understanding of this as well as greeted by the owner on our way out) and we were left alone after our food was served. We had to go retrieve our check in order to leave. Today, we were welcomed with smiles, served and once again left alone until we were finishing up. Offered refills and left alone. We needed refills far sooner but we were elbow deep in food and didn’t really want to have to go ask. Overall, the environment is great, food is fantastic and the place is very cozy. Service could use a touch up!

This place was built the same year I was born.. All I can say is shannon burger and their onion rings. The full bar has it all as well. Great for private event or party venue. Crawfish good price. 4.50 dine in. 6.99 togo.. Smelled amazing. But i got my Shannon burger is gone. They used to have beautiful peacocks years ago. Hope they were just hiding when I visited today.
