Tasty drinks and appetizers. I had the rose tattoo drink and my party split several appetizers instead of ordering entrees. They were all delicious—I highly recommend the Fried Green Tomatoes and NASA’s Space Balls. Good stuff. The wait time was a little long, but the food and drinks were well worth it. I’ll be back again!
If I could give this place ZERO stars I would. I was excited to try a new place however, I regret it. The service here is TERRIBLE. They didn't have any mimosa flights (because they didn't have enough glassware, and apparently they only have 10 mimosa flight holders), they didn't have frozen drinks, they didn't even have something as simple as regular straws (they gave us cocktail straws). We kept having to ask for our water to be refilled, and that didn't even happen. We waited close to TWO hours for our food to be served, which was ridiculous. The gag of waiting for almost two hours was that the food didn't even come close to making up for it. There was also a party that had a reservation and they were told the place was out of food, which is also ridiculous. The presentation of the food was subpar and below you'll see how they served the sauces in plastic lunchable containers. I will NOT be coming back. Whenever I make it to that side of town again, I'll be going somewhere else like Lucille's. Listen to those negative comments because the food is FOR SURE NOT worth the wait.Might I also add, the owner goes back and forth with customers who have written a review and that is highly unprofessional. And please DO NOT respond to me with nonsense.
Great visiting this "Chef Driven Wine Bar and Restaurant". Daniel is always helpful in making selections from the "Food Menu", as well as assisting in making "Value Oriented" selections from his extensive "Wine Menu". His space is "Artfully" decorated, and has a Great Relaxing Vibe to it. I suggest the atmosphere is perfect for a quick lunch, business meeting, or special evening with your significant other or the celebration of a special occasion.
Great drinks but there food was not up to par. I ordered chicken and waffles and everything was unfortunately bland. The chicken wings were very dry with no flavor and the waffles had no taste. We also had the chopped and screwed omelet and it was just two wet plain strips of bacon with no flavor. Scrambled eggs with regular pieces of sausage thrown in. The potatoes were way too salted and the only piece of food that actual taste to it. I had been looking forward to this place and was very disappointed. It also seemed they were understaffed and our whole visit took about two hours for just two people. I’d go back just for the drinks.
I recently worked with Daniel to hold a wine tasting event for a young professionals group. I was extremely pleased with the entire event. Everyone really enjoyed themselves! The food and wine were delicious and Daniel had so much knowledge to share about each wine. The planning process was very smooth and Daniel responded very promptly to all of my questions. Highly recommend City Cellars!
Big hats off to Daniel Wolfe at @CCity Cellars HTX in the Museum District for creating an amazing custom wine dinner for my husband's 50th birthday! He created a special event for 20 people where he masterfully put together a custom 5 course wine dinner that was out of this world! We wanted an "elegant yet masculine" event and he did it to a "T"! He paid attention to every.little.detail. The food was phenomenal and paired with delicious wines! His presentation of every course was outstanding and he introduced each course telling us the history behind the wine and the food he was serving. If you have a private event you are planning, I would highly recommend!
Luuuved it!Wait staff was excellent. Our steak was cooked to perfection. And the linguini's linguine was amazing. Nice blend of flavors. Oh and the fried green tomatoes...super yum!
This was our first time here and we had such a lovely time! The wine was great, food was delicious, but most of all the customer service was superb. Both Daniel and Luis were very attentive and provided great wine and food recommendations. They plan to provide meals for dogs soon too and they gave our pup a sneak peek, let’s just say she was not disappointed! (Sorry about the picture quality, that’s how good the wine was.)
My daughter and I were in town for the weekend. We by chance saw this beautiful restaurant and decided to try it out. We were not disappointed. The owner Daniel greeted us when we arrived. A customer recommended to us the Texas French toast and egg benedict with pulled pork. Wow! Food was exceptional and service was great. The mimosas definitely hit the spot. We went back twice before we left. Highly recommend this place for brunch.
Great food Great SERVICE, GREAT ATMOSPHERE. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
