Owner, thanks for your reply. Please see my photo’s. We are not confused by the location. It is definitely your restaurant. The man came out from the kitchen. The voice of the woman that we could hear on the phone spoke Farsi. A language we understand. There were no other dinner’s. He was a youngish man, wearing a baseball hat. To describe him would sound generic. Perhaps a general conversation with all employees would help. As a business owner myself I am very conscious of the behavior of my employees towards my clients. It ultimately reflects me and affects my business. Thank you for your time.We enjoyed our dining experience here in terms of the service provided by the waitress and the quality of the food. The restaurant was empty and we were the only diners on an early Monday evening. Ordinarily I would have given a 5. The only reason I did give at least a 3 is that the restaurant owner doesnt deserve to be punished by the ignorance of an employee. Here is our disappointment. The cook came out into the restaurant, walked over to the window by our table and was talking on the phone to a female. Maybe his girlfriend... who knows. In very clear English he said he hates this country! He used more colorful language than I have described it as. He made sure that we could hear him very clear and repeated it to be sure. This turned our stomachs and ruined our dining experience. Let me be clear. I'm Australian and my partner is from Afghanistan. Both of us are immigrants and love our lives here. This should never have been spoken where guests could hear it, if it had to be spoken at all. It's incredibly offensive and not at all appropriate. To the owner of this restaurant, we won't return, unfortunately. We hope this information is well received and you are able to attend to it the right way.
I love Mediterranean food. So whenever I get the chance, I try Mediterranean food. Chopan Kabob House is an afghani halal restaurant. We have tried their kabobs, those were very tasty, fresh, and juicy. Last time we also tried the Quabili Pallow which comes with lamb shanks and yellow basmati rice. The portion of the food was large enough and the taste was delicious. The customer service was great and the price is reasonable.
Sufyan provided great customer service.
Have you tried Afghanistan cuisine before? Whether you’re a newbie (like me) or a regular, Chopan Kabob House has the best menu! I had the please of trying their Chicken Curry and Teka Beef Kabob. Both dishes were packed with great flavors and tender meats. While dining, the waitress brought a green sauce made with jalapeños, garlic, cilantro and more. It was honestly the best sauce I have ever had. Check out their page and give them a visit soon! You won’t regret it!☺️
One of the best Afghan restaurants in town indeed. Authentic and tasty Afghan cuisine that would keep you coming again and again. Our server, Emma was also great. Happy with the service and the food. Would definitely recommend it to friends, fellow Afghans & Texans living in Houston area.
We had mantu charsi Kabab and chops along with potato stuffed bread and badenjan... The food was amazing... ?
Was our first time. Everything was delicious. Afganistán authentic food. Different flavors but was fresh, home made, and good portions. Prices are normal. Family friendly. Nice atmosphere. Staff very kind. 100% recommend. We will come back for sure.
This place is so amazing!!! The flavors are so great. My family and I love ordering from here! The dinner plates are very generous potions as well. It’s a great value for healthy, flavorful & excellent cuisine!
food came super fast and the lamb fell right off the bone
Chopan Kabob House made for a wonderful meal and experience all around! They have a very spacious dining area and most importantly, delicious and authentic Afghan food and kabobs! I started my meal off with Bolani (a flatbread stuffed with potatoes and leeks served with a fresh yogurt dipping sauce). For entrees, I enjoyed the Chopan kabob plate with rice and the combination kabob plate of Chapli kabob and Teka beef kabob served with a fresh, warm naan. My favorite were the Chapli and the Teka - super tasty and juicy! All the food is prepared 100% halal as well. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with lots of authentic Afghan artifacts and a beautiful display of Afghan rugs.Chopan Kabob House also has a beautiful and big private event space that can hold 60 people - perfect for your next private event!
