This is truly a Gem in plain sight. I ordered the turkey wings, yams, Mac n cheese, & cornbread dressing. There was a small wait but I was still acknowledged & they told me they would be with me in a moment. Very friendly and the food was made quickly.The food was absolutely delicious, especially the turkey wings falling off the bone. Only thing the Mac could use just a little seasoning but was still good.
Hungry lady on the hunt for some delicious soul food and Cassy’s did not disappoint. We ordered a spaghetti plate with mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese, lemon pepper wing basket and bacon burger basket. Service was A1 and the food was cooked fresh. I enjoyed every bite. It was seasoned to perfection. I will definitely be returning to try some more items from the menu. Thanks for the friendly service and even better food!
This spot was a hidden Gem!!Normally when I travel I map out my food but this trip was all business with little time to play. But a girls’ gotta eat, so I did a quick search “near me” and found Cassy’s Kitchen. The food was delicious, so much so that once we found it, my partner and I drove 25 mins out the way to eat there several times. In all fairness our schedule only allowed us to make the drive for breakfast but it was well worth it. The portions are generous and the food is fresh and tasty. And guess what, I got a treat I rarely got as a child: Kool Aid!!! OMG it sweet and the crown of nostalgia. The waffles and chicken (wings only), the pancakes and grits were so good MOF everything we had was delish. My partner and I often ordered multiple things just so we can try, share and have for the next day. Check out Cassy’s you won’t be disappointed. Don’t go for the ambiance (it’s a little hole in the wall type of place) but make the drive for the food, it’s worth the gas price!
I usually don't leave reviews, but the food and service was so awesome i had to leave 5 stars. This place was good when i ate here on my lunch break that i brought my wife and kids here to eat here as well... my daughter is very picky but she enjoyed the lemon pepper wingsand my wife and i enjoyed the ox talks o my... the oxtails are a must have they are really good.... i definitely recommend this place
Today was the first time for me and my honey. We were enthusiastically greeted by Mandy. She realized we were 1st timers and explained the menu and showed off the delicious food items. Mandy asked how we came to find them; and we told her because of a recommendation from family.She advised us they had not cooked oxtails (which is what was recommended; but We were okay - not really big fans of them). I got the beef tips with rice and gravy, yams and cabbage. Honey got the baked chicken with mac ‘n’ cheese, green beans and yams.Another customer walked in and Mandy called her by name. Now that’s building a relationship and great customer service. We live on the other side of town and didn’t want to be in traffic; so we left and ate when we got home.This is by far, THE BEST soul food we’ve had inH-Town. Honey said Cassy’s earned 5 1/2⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️ And I agree, so let’s make it. 6⭐️!SERVICE: SUPERFOOD: FANTASTICPORTION/PRICE: PERFECT
I had the baked chicken and dressing and my kids got the shrimp and sausage pasta; we also had a side of greens, Mac n cheese, green beans and yams and everything was delicious. Oh and the cornbread oh my gosh… we will be back!!! The customer service was everything as well
Went there today for the first time and I wad not disappointed. The food was really good. It tasted homemade. The service was great and the people were friendly. I will definitely return.
Great home cooked food. I had the chili (seasonal) and I would go back just for that. Good cornbread too. The pecan cake was really good but I don't like the idea of $5 desserts so probably only on special occasions.

I gave 2 stars because the 1st I supported this business the young lady & man we're very nice & the food was really good. On another visit, I arrived the lady was standing outside talking with another lady. I went on inside thinking ing someone else was working. No one else ever came out, the lady never looked towards the door,but the lady she was talking to kept looking toward me standing in the restaurant off and on . After standing inside for 15 min, I walked out,the lady in the apron never looked at or said a word,while the lady she was talking to looked back & forth at each of us. I don't feel I need to get your attention to be served at your establishment. I was made to feel my business was not not needed nor appreciated. This is in a nice location for the neighborhood, but I will drive & support a business that wants customers
