I went to this restaurant on July 23, 2022 and ordered the jerk chicken with rice and peas. Iusually don't complain but I had to share this with the public. My fried plantains and dumplings were cold. The chicken was so dry, there were only a few peas in the rice. I called the restaurant and asked to speak with a supervisor or manager to share my concerns but the girl that picked up the phone told me the manager was unavailable. I left my phone number for someone to call me back but again the 'worker' was very unprofessional and rude and said no one will be calling me back. This was an horrible experience. The restaurant could use some repairs, the carpet appeared to be rotted and mold on the ceiling and walls. Im afraid to see how the kitchen looks. The music was very very loud. If you want to take someone out and you want them to be happy or impress them, this is Not the restaurant for you. I drank me a little vinegar to kill the bacteria in my stomach when I read the review about the snails!??????
We ordered a a variety of dishes, goat, chicken and oxtail, all were very moist and delicious. The meat was tender and juicy. We called the order in and added to the order so we did have to wait about 20 minutes, but it was definitely worth the wait. The roti is delicious soft and hot. The employees were nice. We added the last 5 beef meat pies everyone gobbled it all up so fast it was filling. We all just at with out talking, you know it's good then, when no one wants to talk because you smacking your lips..lol
Went there today and had the Red Fish. Rice and Peas and Cabbage. And a Soursop. Well the fish takes 45mins to a hour. So one would think the fish would be so good. But no it was soooo dry. Like really dry and not worth a 45min to a hour wait. And the Pea and Rice was toooo sweet for me. And the Soursop was very watery. Maybe I should try something else. Good music choices.
Pretty good. I've been looking for a place that compares to my spot in California but no luck yet. Wanted to sit in and eat but the music was blasting so loud we couldn't hear each other talk
The food is delicious! I usually get Curried Goat, Rice n Peas, Cabbage, Fried Plaintain, and Beef Patties to go. I tried the Curried Chicken this time and it was equally good! They were out of the Beef Patties so I bought one Chicken Patty and I did not like it.
My family and I frequent Caribbean Jerk very often so of course we were happy to go again. Last Friday I picked up take out for everyone. We ordered 2 jerk chicken plates, 1 brown stew chicken plate, and 1 curry chicken plate. I noticed the younger black guy was no longer working there but didn’t think anything of it. The curry chicken was way more spicy than usual which I didn’t like because I don’t eat spicy food, but it wasn’t a deal breaker for me. My problem is the fact that my sister in law had a SNAIL in her food once she got towards the end of her meal! I don’t know how or why there was a snail in her food but that just made us all sick to our stomachs and we began to wonder if we might have accidentally eaten a critter or something and didn’t notice it. I don’t play about my food so needless to say, I will never go back here again, who know what else could be lurking in the kitchen or to go containers ? I usually don’t do reviews unless something went terribly wrong which in this case it did.
Food was BUSSIN, took my family with me on my 3rd visit and it was even better the 3rd time! I just wish the had the Pineapple ginger ting
The service was nice but the food wasn’t.More like Spicy Mexican.The food wasn’t very seasoned. It was spicy but no flavor.
One of the best carribean spots in town. This is the only spot that's not a food truck where I can get actually grilled SPICY jerk chicken with good sized portions.
I get food from here every other week its so good. The jerk chicken is amazing! Def recommend!
