We grabbed the jerk chicken and the curry chicken with two beef Patties. The flavors are explosive. The spicy isn’t for beginners. It grows and burns long after you’ve finished the meal. Not a complain in the least. The rice is wonderful and when soaked in the curry is flavorful. Chicken falls off the bone. 100% a repeat. If you haven’t tried this place, do it. All and all we spent right around $30 including tip and a beer.
Wow! This place was amazing. HUGE portions and WONDERFUL flavor. This Islander family loved it! We may be from a different island (Hawaii) but we know flavor. Definitely coming back again! The Jerk chicken had some much flavor even without the sauce. And the Oxtail….I cant even describe how good it was.

The best Caribbean food I had on the north side of Houston. Everything was tender and flavorful. I will have left overs for at least 2 more days! I had the Caribbean jerk plate with sparkling grapefruit juice.
This was absolutely the best food I’ve had. I’ve been searching for some good home cooked oxtails and boom I found it. The amount they serve you is plenty for 2 servings if only you can handle the taste being so good you HAVE to finish it. The Beef Patties I also recommend 1000% I could have it for any meal of the day and feel full and satisfied at the same time. The people who are work here are super nice and friendly I wish this place existed everywhere.
Great portions for the price!!! I was a little disappointed with the oxtails they were not tender. The rice and peas were flavorful, curry goat a little too pasty, cabbage and plantains were delicious. I will gladly visit again for my Caribbean fix!
The place has been the most consistent with service and it's menu for the pass 6 years I have been purchasing from it . For my wife 50th Birthday we purchased two full pans of Curry chicken. It feed 34 person each for only $80 EACH. That is crazy reasonable. The person who attended to my order she was the best . I was under a lot of pressure to complete the planning of the event. But she follow up with me to ensure I did not forget my order ? and I had a refund for paying to much . Man she made my situation easier. I am so grateful to the staff of this family run business. I ordered via Grubhub and having had no experience with this restaurant, I had limited expectations. OMG they blew me away. This was one of the best, if not THE BEST, curry chicken Roti I have ever had. It’s was piping hot, despite being sent by a delivery service, the seasoning was perfect, enough to make your nose run but not too spicy that you couldn’t appreciate the perfect flavor. The chicken was cooked perfectly and fell easily off the bone. The roti was so fresh and sizable as roti should be. It was a very healthy serving and since I also ordered the rice and peas along with plantain (because I have to have those compliments with every Caribbean meal) I have enough for dinner tonight. I may let my husband try some…maybe. SO GOOD! Compliments to the chef.
This is my favorite go to spot for Caribbean food on the north side of Houston. My favorite location is the 1960 location but they Vets Memorial spot is good as well and have the better dine in experience. Awesome Jerk... On most days its hard for me to pass up the ox tails and the portions are plentiful. Love the hand made patties.. Escovitch Snapper..and the curry.. Go check them out you will not be disappointed.
Excellent service and excellent food. I definitely recommend this place. I was impressed that the staff kept checking with me to make sure my food was good and that I was good. I appreciate y'all!
