Had dinner with friends a year ago, it was a great experience. Enjoyed the desserts. The interiors are upscale and atmosphere is lively. None of the dishes we ate had a lasting impact so can’t add too many details, but they did have a few modifications for vegan/vegetarians.
Great tasting food. Takes a while for the main course to be brought out. So plan for being here for an hour or more. Better if you have reservations.
I was able to have dinner at this wonderful restaurant with my daughters and grandson it was an amazing experience a variety of dishes that were all very nice. The tamales a bit under cooked but other than that it was great service thanks to our wonderful waiter.
Amazing restaurant with a large patio. Complimentary valet parking. We had a few appetizers and everything was tasty. Friendly service. Try the chocolate/coconut dessert ball!
The chefs are very creative and the food is delicious.
I had been dying to try this place for years and figured celebrating our Anniversary would be a good excuse. It was all just OK. Nothing was bad but I also wasn’t blown away by anything considering the upscale aspect of this place. Think Pacific Coast Tacos but with octopus and 3x the price.Decor/ambience: It was nice but I felt like I was eating in a 90s contemporary hotel lobby that needed updating. The patio looked great though, but unfortunately it was too cold to sit outside.Service: just OK. Our waiter was nice but not overly friendly and there if we needed anything (it didn’t seem too busy for a Friday night). If there were specials, we didn’t hear about them. No recommendations were offered. If I’m paying over $200 for a meal, I want to feel very welcome and taken care of. If youve been to State of Grace or Uchi (back in the day), that’s good service.Food: again just OK…beautifully plated though. There was still a little time in the HH so we ordered the Palomas, the taquitos, and the oysters (with the butter). The HH drinks were watered down and not strong. There was nothing special about the taquitos. My husband liked the oysters.I then ordered the spicy Margarita (not HH) and it was great! Based on reviews, I had to try the lobster taco. I was underwhelmed. It’s lobster so of course it’s good but pretty bland. The coconut snapper ceviche was bland as well. My husband had the scallops which were good…the most flavored dish. I had the duck. It was chewy and not a lot of flavor in the mole. We ordered dessert which came with “Happy Anniversary “ written on it. I appreciate that. The coconut dessert was delicious and unique. As much as I wanted to love it, it didn’t blow my mind.
Caracol birthday brunch was amazing! (Sunday brunch kicks off again at Htown Restaurant Group places tomorrow - according to their email.)Please, please, PLEASE order the cafe de olla. No cream or sugar necessary. It is perfection. Small conchas were a great start for the table. The oysters are perfect and most everything was very great. My only concern was we had an allergy at the table and alerted the waiter to the avocado/cucumber allergy. The arrachera con huevo came topped with avocado and we sent it back. In a matter of minutes the dish came out again and it looked like the same plated food with the avocado removed. I didn't get a pic and did not try it.Everything else was impeccably prepared and worth savoring. Our waiter made great suggestions and was attentive. I will always, ALWAYS order the Churros and hot chocolate for dessert at Caracol. Always. ❤
The Valentine's dinner menu was absolutely delicious. The customer services was great and the atmosphere was welcoming and inviting. It was a bit crowded but, after all, that is a good sign for any restaurant. I would recommend!
Everything was fresh and yummy. The dine in crew were all attentive to all our needs and very friendly. Live band gave good music. It's a good family special lunch place.
This is one of Houston 's upscale Mexican restaurants. The settings is very chic, having a beautiful bar.The food is actually very good.Service is very friendly, but as it gets busy, then it's hard to get their attention.
