Awesome find. Looked like it was going to be bar food. But, chicken fried steak, artisan burgers, nice salads, it was all good. As for a bar, good assortment of beer.Surprising quiet for a Saturday. TV's everywhere with an assortment of sports.Would definitely go back when I'm in the neighborhood.
This place is an awesome place to chill and is truly a diamond in the rough. From the leather chairs to watch games on their tv’s to the awesome and big, dog friendly patio. Their drinks aren’t too expensive, but mixed well. They have super cool large booths for groups and really cool decor across the whole place. And to end it all their food is absolutely top notch as the most surprising welcome feature of this place. Will continue to go there!
Great food and service family atmosphere
Still like Cactus Cove but there's recently been some turnover in the staff and things have begun to slip. Bartender told me the other night they forgot to order a keg of Guinness. A month ago the POS system went down and they had no backup. Was told they couldn't even take my order manually and I had to leave. Another time I asked that my appetizer be brought out first and it came out after the entree. These are all things that can be fixed but annoying nonetheless.
Great food ! It was Our first time. Chicken fried steak and mash potatoes, cheesesteak egg rolls and the queso and chips were all super delicious! We will be back!! Service was friendly too!
My wife and I gave Cactus Cove 3 chances going back from before the pandemic up until now. For the price the food was just never good enough to stand up against all the other great options in the area (Hughie's, Dak and Bop, Crawfish Cafe to name a few). Our last attempt was a call in to-go order for lunch. We were charged an extra 8% to-go order fee and the fries came out so sad and wet and limpy. I'm sure this isn't what they were supposed to be because I've seen better ones in other people's pictures, but it has just always been something each time.
We love the hell out of this place. Friendly staff, especially the bartenders. Tasty comfort food. You can't beat the chips and queso and salsa anywhere in town. Happy hour is a treat. Not the most scenic view in town on the patio, but on a pretty day, it's a great place to be.
Good crawfish, great price & great beer selection
Amazing local dive with incredible food. Part of the family that includes Onion Creek, Cedar Creek, Piggy’s. Recommend brunch and steak night with a $20 bottle of wine - also amazing chicken tenders, fries, and burgers. Great place to watch the games or catch up with friends
Came here for lunch! We ordered the Texas Frito Chili Pie and the Philly cheesecake. The food was tasty and tasted fresh. Our beers were cold. Our food came quickly and the server was very kind and quick to help us. They have a ton of beer options (including some local craft favorites!) There's plenty of parking and the patio is nice! We will definitely be coming back.
