The space is nice. The staff was friendly but the coffee was really disappointing. I ordered a nitro with a splash of milk. There was no discernable coffee in the beverage. It was completely white and flavorless. Nitro coffee should be significantly stronger.
Are the drinks delicious? Yes. I was super excited about making this establishment my new daily stop. I was especially thrilled to see unsweetened blended drink options.However, despite being told that the blended latte contained only milk, ice, and espresso, I later found out from the manager that ALL of their milks are actually "milk blends" that contain sugar.So, if you are diabetic, or hypoglycemic, or just watching your refined sugar intake, be very careful here. I started having health issues and then noticed my drink still tasted sweet, even though it was supposedly unsweetened.Black Rock seriously needs to make this clear on the menu. I am lucky that it was not a severe situation for me, but some people could be sent to the hospital over something like this. If a customer asks for an unsweetened drink, it may be for a health related concern and not a personal preference.
This is a really nice place! I loved the lighting, the decor, the music selection as of course the mural! The coffee was really good and the staff super friendly!
Stopped here for a coffee. I decided to try their Horchata Chiller. It is well flavored and they break up the ice very evenly, so you don't have a lot of huge ice chunks.The flavor is great. A nice vanilla and cinnamon flavor to the coffee that is very well brewed, too.The staff was friendly and courteous. Definitely can see returning for more caffeine, some day soon!
I’ve been to all of the other Houston locations and this one is probably the nicest of them all. The store is very nice and staff is always friendly! I especially love the mural with the astronaut on the horse. The coffee is of course very good like every other time and I have been going here monthly for the past year or so
Excellent service! I was having a no good terrible very bad day, and the sweet barista at the window this morning turned my day around. She complimented my glasses, and was just all around extremely pleasant. I will definitely be returning ❤️
It warms my heart to see them take over a Starbucks . Cant wait until it opens. Try the MexiMocha Iced. Buy the medium, not the large…. They are the same size.
New coffee shop that just opened up a few days ago! I got the Matcha Latte and it's delicious. Very deep flavor! The interior is so well decorated with a space themed mural and awesome lighting. Highly recommend checking this place out! I'll definitely be back to try the energy drinks.
