BCN is truly a special spot in Houston. The service is attentive without being intrusive. And the food…. Oh my goodness. But first the cocktails, they have taken the simple gin and tonic and elevated it to a work of art. The wine list is all Spanish wines which is interesting. We started with the iberco ham and it was served with perfectly prepared tomato bread. It took me back to Barcelona. The lamb chops were served medium rare and were wonderful as well. The food is outstanding. We finished with a serving of Gypsy’s Arm. It was a cake with cartelized sugar on top and filled with a sort of cream. The evening was absolutely delightful. Make sure to plan ahead as this is a small restaurant and very few tables are available.
Pros:1. Service was good2. Some dishes were goodCons:1. Some dishes were very greasy, I.e. the roast piglet - too greasy we can’t eat it.2. Portion size: are you kidding about the portion size? I got duck breast and it’s probably 1/3 comparing what’s normally offered at other high end restaurants2. The interior sucks: at this price level, it’s not about the food itself but the whole experience, including service and interior, everything you see. The restaurant was converted from tan old house and apparently some part of the old house did not get converted yet: the super ugly emergency exit door and the old light switches.3. Price was too high: as said above - the price did not reflect the small portion size or the improvement needed interior.All in all, we won’t go back.
this review is from my dining experience from last year. pretty much i had really high hopes for this spot but it didn't really meet my expectations. it was okay.the restaurant is like in this home setting and the tables were pretty close to each other. we sat near a group and it was pretty loud which i was not having it.we enjoyed food and drinks and the valet was convenient.the servers were great as well and the portions were right too. i was kinda looking for a luxury vibe but this was more of a cozy homey vibe. and the price i believe was reasonable.
Our sommelier/bartender Jesus was absolutely incredible -- not only did he give fantastic food and drink suggestions, but he even gave us a tour of the stunning Picasso, Miró, and Dalí works in the restaurant. A must-visit in Houston!

This restaurant is such a classy, but intimate little restaurant in the building of a former home. My friends and I shared the Ibérico with Toast and the Patatas Bravas. They have an extensive wine list categorized by where each wine came from. The food was spectacular! Their Grilled Duck Breast and Roasted Fideo Pasta "Fideuá" were the favorites of the night. We came for a friend's birthday and they graciously let us bring our own cake and sliced it up for us as well. Highly recommend getting a reservation here!
The hostess couldn’t find our reservation! She stated that they didn’t participate in OT and asked to see my email confirmation. Clearly I had the confirm and showed it to her. We were shocked and really disappointed . We almost left. We heard so much about this fine restaurant; and to be made to feel like we walked in off the street was inexcusable. I made the reservation many months ago; since it’s difficult to get one. A manager saw us there and begrudgingly showed us to a table. We couldn’t help but feel rushed as we ordered and ate. We ran into work colleagues (seated at the next table) at a closing dinner and told them what happened. They couldn’t believe it either.
