The atmosphere brought you into the NOLA vibe, but the menu options were very standardized Cajun classics that have room for elevation/improvement. I got the fried catfish which probably wasn't the best choice but still tasty and fairly priced. The drinks were decent. Overall, I hate to rate so low but there was no real wow factor from the food or service. I'm just a random foodie, but I'd even recommend decreasing the amount of po' boy and fried basket options, and adding some additional creole favorites to the menu.
What convinced me to give them a second shot when the catfish plate, basket or whatever for $20 plus my $5 tip isn't worth it at all. I took a bite off the fish and put it all in the fridge. Unfortunately, I will keep my tips in my wallet and tip myself from here on out. Total disappointment a second time. Tossed food then and will do the same when I get in.Folks, there has been an invasion and that's who's now in these kitchens. You can't even get a decent personal pan pizza from Pizza Hut any longer. Was informed by the guy who makes their pizzas inside Target and westheimer they were told to cut back on the cheese.
Food was fantastic. On a spicier side though. Cocktail drinks from the bar weren't as large as I expected.Appetizer plate was a tad small for 4 people, we tried fried pickle chips. They could have told us that since they knew it was our first time. I'd expect more ranch at least.Main entrée size was fulfilling.There was a small mix up with a silverware, had to ask for our forks.
My experience was OK. My food was delicious. The only reason my experience was not great is because we ordered drinks at the bar & went to sit at a table outside but it seemed apparent that was not a smoking area. We stepped away to smoke and saw our freshly made drinks were being picked up and taken away. They were replaced but my drink was made in a smaller different glass. We got our food order but we had no utensils so I ate my slice of bread toast. I asked for another slice since it took so long for our utensils & thought I would have got that as courtesy but it was added to the bill. Anyway it was less than a $1 but it was the principal & they also put those drinks on our food check when we had already paid for them at the bar but that was corrected. People make mistakes. I would return but with a greater expectation
Great seafood boil. A lot of options and I love to see a menu that's executed so well. All of the items have authentic qualities and I haven't tried anything yet that I didn't like. The drinks also are great and pair well with the food. It's also a great place to eat on the patio and drink with friends. I recommend it for an over all ambiance
Stopped for a drink before dinner elsewhere. The beer range was great and margaritas were good. Fried pickles as a snack were good too!
I absolutely LIve their style of crawfish! Love the saucy flavors! Great fried pickles and shrimp & grits!

This place is just outstanding, I don't think I can think of enough positive kick a** adjectives to do this place justice. Also, if you stop in at this location, ask if Jess is working. She was our waitress tonight and she is the absolute best. So, me, my husband and father went for an early dinner. We started with the Cajun empanadas and WOW ? I had the boudin flautas and my husband and father had the Rue trio for our main course, I tasted everything and all of it was just incredible. In my opinion I thought the crawfish etouffee in the Rue trio was some of the best I've ever had, I think it blows Floyd's out of the water. They have a very nice outdoor patio, nice covered tables, pretty lighting and on a warmer day we will definitely enjoy drinks and apps out there because I will absolutely be a returning customer. Im including some pictures, please forgive the quality. I took them on my iPad and they didn't transfer to my android with as good of quality. The inside is cute, fun, clean, not too crowded and has a great bar with yummy drinks. Overall, I HIGHLY recommend a visit here, great food, good portion sizes and reasonable prices and if Jess is waiting on you, you're guaranteed a pleasurable dining experience.
Love love the food, flavourful, fresh and hot. Very nice staff and they are working as a team. Atmosphere is funOnly suggestion is to scrub the bathrooms they didn’t get like that overnight.
