This restaurant had an amazing vibe, and outstanding food with a variety of great options! Only downside was the service was a little eh.
Food was ok. We tried 4 different dishes. We loved the pulpo gallego and the other 3 were ok. The mojito tasted awful.

Batanga was located across the street from our hotel so we decided to check it out after spending the day at the Aquarium. We found ourself in their umbrella sky outdoor seating and already drooling over the menu!We ordered a handful of tapas and a paella to split between the two of us and took advantage of their cocktail menu. Our waiter was so helpful in picking out the best cocktails and was honest about food portions and what to get!We highly recommend the Brazilian Pearl Necklace and Prickly Pear Margs!Next time we’re in Houston, we’ll definitely be back! We 10/10 recommend Batanga!
Well....i would recommend you coming here for the drinks and live music ONLY. The food was a major disappointment! We had several.dishes off the menu, most were below average. The paella rice was undercooked, the seafood was overcooked. We had a table of 10 and ordered 3 paellas. Our table was really meek in saying anything but ultimately, 1 person in our party spoke up for the group. The service was a 4 out of 10. Our server Earl tried his best but would disappear for 20 minutes a time. Ultimately we walked over to the bar for our drinks and enjoyed the rest of our evening.
Our waiter was very slow to fill drinks and forgot to put in some of our so in the end we canceled some dishes as they ran out once they realized it was entered incorrectly
Awesome customer service!!! Personally food and drinks were 8 out of 10. I’ll give the Ahi Tuna Nachos and smashed potatoes a 10 though lol. Customer service wise they made it right when things went wrong

The Batanga staff provided a beautiful night for our graduation celebration dinner. The ambiance was perfect, they treated us all so special, and we will go back as often as we can. Thank you, Batanga, for a phenomenal and memorable evening!
My first impression was a good one. The staff was great, my server was really nice. The drinks were ok nothing spectacular. I ordered an appetizer that was ok and then I ordered the paella, my server did mention it was gonna take about 40mins to prepare which was ok since I was already drinking and having great conversations. When the paella finally came out I had to send it back because it was burned, the rice was crispy and the entire dish was dry. The server did apologize and took it away. Everyone has an off day, I hope the next time I visit it gets better.
