Overall I had a very pleasant experience here. My parents brought me while I was visiting because they love it here and tell me they frequent it on a semi-regular basis. As the saying goes, 3 out of 4 ain't bad. We shared an appetizer and each had an entrée. Only 1 item on the table was not of really high quality. I should have listened to my server. I asked if she liked my selection and all she said was that she hadn't had it. I believe the ranch is house made and it was delicious. My father's hot dog was HUGE and he loved it. My stepmother ordered a Texas-sized salad and enjoyed it. And my side dishes were very good. I say just ask your server about your selection before you order. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would have no problem returning here for another meal. I just think that next time I would get the hot dog. ?
You can never go wrong with Barnaby’s! Made a quick stop here for some coffee and ended up getting some dessert, too. You have to try the apple pie! It comes with a scoop of ice cream.Great service and good atmosphere.
I went to Barnaby's for breakfast and had a great food and an overall good experience. The menu definitely has a wide variety to choose from, so there is something for everyone when they go to Barnaby's. My only complaint would have to be about the staff at the location I went to (the River Oaks location). I went right after 8 when they opened, and a majority of the staff was sitting down enjoying their own breakfast while I was needed to order my food, get refills, and pay my bill. I almost felt like we were forgotten about a little. The food was delicious though, so I would be willing to give this location (or any other location) another try next time I'm in Houston.
Ordered chicken Caesar salad. $15. Enough for three adults. Chicken was hot, moist and seasoned excellent Service was attentive and prompt. Limited outside seating. Opposite the square
My wife and I have been going to Barnaby's since before we got married. If you want comfort food, great atmosphere, attentive wait staff and worth the wait drinks; then this is the place. I love the king size Cobb Salad but the menu is eclectic and the desserts delicious.
First timer! This was my first time visiting this cafe and what a delight it was. I had a glass of their House Cabernet and their amazing mushroom swiss burger w/seasoned fries. The service was very quick to say that there was a good amount of customers there. The food was fresh and flavorful, my server was very friendly. I love the way everyone works together to assist the customers right from the moment you walk in the door with a very warm welcome. I'm not sure what type of seasoning they use on their fries, but OMG it is sooooo good! I cannot wait to go back!
Excellent time. My daughter picked this spot for her birthday meal and we had a great time. Staff was EXCELLENT. Food was DELICIOUS!! CARROT CAKE IS DAC BEST IN DA LAND!!!!
We were in Houston at M D Anderson for two weeks while my husband was having cancer surgery. I discovered a Barnaby's nearby, on Binz near the museum, and went there every few days to pick up a lunch or dinner. The sandwiches are excellent and big enough to share, with homemade chips. I did not have a burger but they looked amazing and come with a huge plate of fries on the side. The salads are all so fresh and good it is hard to choose which one to have. The food is delicious, tastes home made and attractively served and reasonably priced. The Binz location has a dog friendly patio which is very popular. There are several other locations around Houston. Beer and wine , no liquor. The servers were all masked and there is an outdoor patio. Recommend.
Great food and service, i love the salmon here. Always perfect. Queso was hot and tasty. Love this place after spending day in Hermann Park with the kids.
We went to the MFAH for the morning and stopped here for lunch before heading home to Kingwood. The service was great. I have been here before but my group had not and they all said afterward what a great place it was to go.
