Hidden gem! The 1/2 chicken was was out of this world! And the house made sauce was the on top was outstanding but I think extra was in order.I would recommend the humus as the the proper side for this dish but to be honest I will probably order it from now on.No pics from me as it was eaten to fast to break out the camera for a photo op.Again, nice job!
The food here at Barbar is the best Arabic food in town. It’s just as good as it is back home and it’s always fresh and very tasty. The meat is always fresh and all the food is made to order. If you want a taste of what the actual thing back home tastes like, make sure you come by here; you won’t be disappointed. Try the mixed grill to get a taste of all the different meat they have. The owner is really nice and always willing to accommodate you no matter what. The best part is the fact that it’s consistently as good every time. This is hard to find in a restaurant and I’ll make sure to keep coming back.
Disappointed…we loved to eat at BarBar in Beirut so when we saw there was one in Houston, we had to try it. We were looking forward to seeing the Shawarma roasting and watching our sandwich being made however there was no employee to be found when we entered and it felt like everything including the bathroom was hidden. $10 for a small shawarma that doesn’t include fries is too pricey. Couldn’t taste any toom sauce more so mayonnaise , and very small pieces of chicken. Also couldn’t eat the salad without it falling all over the table, maybe bigger plates would’ve been better.
Wallah this is good food very clean and fresh much better than the food trucks next door. Very unique flavor reminiscent of Lebanon
I went to this restaurant for the second time a few days ago with a few other friends. Needless to say, I liked their food the first time, especially the chicken. But this time the chicken smelled a bit weird. When we told the owner about it, he rudely answered that it was not possible. His behavior was very rude, and he arrogantly asked us why he ate the chicken if it smelled so funny. In the end, we paid for all the food and walked away from there, even though some of the food had not even arrived.I am definitely not going back there, and would not recommend this place to anyone ever again.
Absolutely authentic and delicious. His use of the proper spices combined with using charcoal make this much better than higher end places in the area. He is Lebanese and knows his cooking.
The rice that comes with the family tray is laughably small in portion, this does does not feed 4-6 people. Beef over cooked chicken undercooked in some areas over cooked in others. Ordered two family trays and got two small boxes of rice.
Goody customer service. Restrooms are clean. Food was great, I think the salad was not as we expected but everything else was wonderful.
I was visiting town google it this place online pictures looking good i give it try. Very disappointed place is dirty not presentable very poor set up they focused food pictures looks good but funny taste . Cinnamon on chicken sandwich? Place can be well organized food around here low end.
Had the chicken shawarma and beef shawarma and both were cooked to perfection. The fries and the food came out fresh and the portions are perfect for the price.
