Service was great, food was very average.

We took advantage of Houston Restaurant Weeks and tried out this place. We loved the overall lunch experience here. Great menu options, atmosphere and excellent customer service.

The back room is an after thought

It's a nice French restaurant, with traditional fare. It's not quite 5 stars from me, the food was good and it is a nice restuarant but is it the best French restuarant in Houston, did it wow/ impress, not yet.

Brian and Russell were excellent, food was phenomenal and watching the crew cook was a delight

Chef Kirkham, Just a short note to say thank you for a delicious meal, a chance to met you and your cousin, and for the warm welcome extended by staff. We will be sure to visit you again when our travels take us to Houston. Warmest regards, Rick and Carolyn Fletcher

We decided to come here for Houston Restaurant Weeks (HRW), and I made a reservation through open table. We were seated and provided the menu clipboard - no HRW menu included. We scanned the regular menu, made cocktail orders, and asked the waitress about the HRW menu. Her first question was “Did you state in your reservation that you were going to do HRW?” We said no because we were not aware that was a necessity, and I didn’t see anywhere that it specifically said to do so when making the reservation. She responded saying to let her go talk to the host, came back with HRW menus, but also said, “Next time you make a reservation, remember to put in the notes that you are coming for HRW.” Okay, but why? To me that seems like the restaurant doesn’t actually want to participate or promote being a part of HRW if they don’t automatically provide the menu with their other menus, they mentioned nothing about it when going over the other menus, and we felt a bit ridiculed about how it was handled when we did ask about it. Aside from that, service and food - service was fine, everyone was nice and checked on us enough without being too bothersome. The food really wasn’t as good as we expected. First courses were fine (mushroom salad and corn chowder); second courses weren’t that great (we’ve had much better sea bass at other places, the trout was fine, but the saffron salmon patty that came with the trout didn’t taste fresh to us); third courses were fine too (crème brí»lée and pistachio cheesecake). The bar does make a good old fashioned. Overall, and obviously based on our personal taste and preferences, but for the cost of the food (and the small ordeal about the HRW menu), we weren’t impressed with the outcome.

Outstanding. We really enjoyed it!

Never disappoints. Excellent food and good service

Amazing service, delicious food, and a fun, intimate experience! Best French restaurant I’ve been to in town…which is saying something since every other place I’d go back to!
