I'm so disappointed with the quality of my to-go order this evening. There were so many problems.First, I ordered the vegetarian rajas poblanas which are supposed to come with vegetarian refried beans, but instead we both got beans with bacon in them. I have food allergies and will become very sick if I eat meat. They barely gave us enough chips to cover the bottom of the bag, which was lucky I guess because they only gave us two tablespoons of salsa. With as much as they charge for the food, you'd think it wouldn't cut into their profits too much to give us a reasonable portion of chips and salsa. And the green salsa never tastes the same any time we go, it's so inconsistent and never really good. The food was all just so bland. I was tempted to take a COVID test to see if maybe I had lost my sense of taste, but luckily I could still taste the charred burnt corn (and the margarita I was drinking actually tasted very sweet and refreshing, so I guess they know how to make a drink). The food was cold. We got to the restaurant before our pickup time, left as soon as it was ready, drove five minutes down the road to our apartment, and ate immediately. And the food wasn't just kinda warm, or room temperature. It was cold. We've had a few hit-or-miss experiences with this location, but tonight was the worst. I'd rather drive twenty five minutes down to the Towne Lake location, where the service and food quality is definitely worth the drive. We will not be returning to this location.

Um, I still am racking my brain trying to figure out why it took me 4 years to finally make it to Ambriza! The margaritas were incredible - all of the flavors sounded delicious and the drinks were strong. We did the guacamole cart which was fun and so fresh tasting! I’m vegetarian so I believe I had the rajas poblanos tacos which I enjoyed, but I think I will try another entrees next time I visit!

The staff was very welcoming and attentive! Some of the best service I've experienced in a while! The food was great and the appetizers were well worth it! Great margaritas! I think our waitress said her name was Fern for short and she was wonderful! We will 10000% be back

We went here for the first time last night and had the best experience! The service was amazing and everything we ordered was delcious. Our kids had a great time and ate almost all of their food.

Loved coming here over the weekend! The food was very good and so was the drink. Waitress was nice and recommended great food and drink items.

excellent and very friendly waiters, and good Mexican food

Always good! Their dishes are different than most Mexican restaurants but I think it’s because it’s a southern Mexican restaurant.I love their plates and sugar skulls lol they make me happy. The tomato salad is my favorite thing. I either get it with shrimp or steak. Both are amazing.Margaritas do their job. Sometime I get the virgin margarita, essentially limeade and it’s really good. The poblano soup is great. The ceviches are wonderful. I order the ceviche when I want to feel like I’m back on the beach in Mexico. They have good quesadillas and their tostones are good but sometimes the platano is too hard for my liking. But the flavors are good.I’m definitely a patio person but not in the summer because it’s too hot in Houston lol

Let me start by saying that the drinks are good! The food is good too but the portions are tiny. Specially the fajita plate which I only got four little meat pieces and two shrimps. If you planning on sharing with someone this is not enough.

Had a wonderful time tonight at dinner. Our waiter Jose was on his 2nd day and we had NO IDEA because he was so amazing.Came for happy hour. Not the biggest discount to none on some items between 5-7. We had a few different plates and when compared to the menu, it's the same price per serving just smaller plates are offered. The two fish tacos had such little fish I put both servings on 1 shell to actually get fish in each bite. (Minus 1 star)The margaritas were the best I've had, $11 each for Large Flavored ones during 5-7 but it's basically 2 margs in one if you order on the rocks (you get a side car margarita!) They have small ones also and unflavored for cheaper, see website for details. We will be back for sure!

Absolutely the place to try dishes that are not your ordinary Mexican/Spanish dishes found in other restaurants. A great place for special occasions such as birthdays. The service is also super.
