I love this place so much. It’s been my go-to spot for years. The vibes are immaculate. It’s a great place to meet with friends, sit on the patio to enjoy a drink and read. It’s a lovely spot for a first date, to study, and to meet international people. I love the endless amount of languages I overhear in conversation here. The only quasi cons I have is that the coffee isn’t the best. But the energy makes up for it. No one comes here for the quality of the coffee. There are other places for that. And the music sometimes. There was once a jukebox here. It had the soundtracks to Amelie and Greek music that would add the most wonderfully mystical touch to the place. The jukebox stopped working earlier this year and now they play music on speakers. Sometimes it’s fine, when they play low key French music or something along those lines. But I’ve been here a few times later in the night and they randomly play music that’s too harsh and I don’t like it. It throws off my focus. But I think they’re just figuring that out since it’s fairly new. Unless they’re rebranding the vibe to not be a study place. All in all, this place will forever have my heart. There are endless memories you all can make here. Please support it and help it stay open for many many many years, so I can come back here when I’m old to relive all my youngster memories in this city.
One of my favorite coffee places at Houston.Open till pretty late.I often just come here to work and sip coffee. They also have beer on tap at times and nice house wine.Kinda my goto place whenever I wanna work or even read a book.
My FAVORITE coffee shop in a while. The coffee is honestly just ok but the atmosphere and VIBE..oh it is great. I love the Greek theme, the pictures of Greece, the references to ancient greek mythology, marble masks and baklava. Theres also many alternative drinks (carbonated water, kombucha, etc.) and theres a heavy university student presence there who are generally studying so it makes for a good place to study/focus/work. But its versatile, so you can also sit there and chat with a group of friends for hours without causing a disturbance to the scene . It's easy to just hang there alone or with a group and I absolutely love you can stay until like 2am whether its studying or having beer (tho it is not a bar nor does it have that feel). It's just such a chill place to hang out, eat baklava and drink coffee. 1000% recommend checking this place out, it's worth your time.
Very cute coffee shop if you're looking for somewhere to get some work done, study, or just enjoy a nice cup of coffee (or tea)! I got it the hot matcha latte with oat milk and it was good! The customer service was great as well.*You will need to purchase something in order to occupy a seat*
They have an amazing vegan cinnamon roll! It’s a bit on the sweet side, but that’s expected for vegan desserts. This spot was very crowded and quite tough to find a spot to seat unfortunately. I went there to get some studying done, but spent nearly half an hour waiting for someone to get up so I could sit and finally study. Overall, it’s a calm atmosphere and a nice place to get work done, once you can finally find a seat.
Super cute coffee shop with great atmosphere and love the outdoor patio! Good variety of coffees and sweets. I got the house coffee and loved it!
A great staple of Houston. Take your laptop or some friends and go here to enjoy some laid back time with some good coffee or a glass of wine. They have indoor (two story) and outdoor seating and can some times be pretty bustling. If you're looking for a cafe or casual lounge spot this is simply a place you can't go wrong.
I love this coffee shop overall but the hispanic short guy who works the counter is always rude and passive aggressive. Please, if you don't like dealing with people don't work at the counter. Again, the atmosphere is really nice and it's a great place to work while having a cup of Tea or Coffee, but his attitude is very off putting.
Angora is always divine and the place is reminisce of what coffee houses use to be pre-Starbucks. The customers as well as the staff are super friendly. I wish I lived closer to make it a daily habit. Great customer service is rare but you will definitely find it here.
Had two different types of coffees there. They were both very good. I did enjoy the atmosphere. Definitely a great place to go with friends or to study. If you're easily distracted I say bring some noise canceling headphones. It's a little loud.
