The food is very bland. Plain. Not worth the cost. It doesn't have the authentic Mexican taste to it. So if you are looking for that. This is not an ideal option. I have tasted certain foods from taco bell that obviously don't have the Mexican authentic taste but DOES taste better than zarape food. Now that's cause I'm not really big on taco bell it's super rare. The Panchos were very upsetting. Very plain, it mainly consisted of lettuce and the beef was watery. El Pato Panchos are better but don't think either tops Las Cazuelas restaurant Panchos. Their Panchos in their appetizers menu is not only cheaper ($5) but freaking delicious there. If you're looking for delicious authentic Mexican food in that El Zarape area, try Las Cazuelas down Tyler. I've also had their bistec tacos. They are okay but again lacks the Mexican authentic taste and has a plainness to it but wasn't disgusting. I don't plan on going here anymore.
Well where do I start. Cashier has no customer service what so ever. Not even welcoming at all. As far as the food, we use the come here a lot and it was always delicious. We moved from Harlingen to Austin about 11 years ago and would still drive back just to come eat here. Well we came today and was very disappointed with the service and not only that almost every single table that we tried sitting on was filthy. The floors I tell you they were food everywhere. Grant it I understand they are probably understaffed but you can still maintain a clean environment. The management here should be ashamed of themselves. Please retrain your management team and this place can shine again.
l had not gone to this place for awhile...we order the Monday special...No white cheese..no avocado....now l remember WHY.....Now l know why l love LA Fonda de Benny...super good n reasonable prices...
I love eating the Panchos and Pirata!! Thry had one of the best breakfast tacos around.
Stingy with the salsa, my mom had to pay extra because apparently they said they couldn't give us more. In total there were more than 5 people and they only gave us 3 green salsas. Before COVID, they had the bottles, and now they're trying to use COVID as an excuse to make more money. All your employees don't wear masks, so stop using the COVID excuse and put the salsa back in bottles and on the table. Ridiculous
We were there on 1-02-22. The food was okay the tortilla seemed like it was sitting out for a while it was kinda hard. The restrooms were clean. I wanted to try the mango drink, wasn’t working. Then I tried another mango tea, the same it wasn’t working and the Lipton tea wasn’t working!! The table we sat at was dirty we had to clean it. There was food on the floor. And the high chairs are filthy!!! You can tell they haven’t been cleaned in months or maybe over a year!!! There’s build up on the high chairs and some are even black. It was a bad experience at this place. Never again will I eat at this “ restaurant”. Oh and the girl that served us did not say one word to us. She had this look on her face like if she was bothered she had to be at work. And there’s a lot of flies flying around your food.

Yesterday i was with my wife we were in drive-thru getting attended by a sweet young lady but i will never ever go there again if i could give this darn thing no stars i would there was this other young lady yelling nonsense on top of that she came straight to the drive-thru area where the young lady was trying to attend us and my wife and myself heard it all this place is very unprofessional the way that young lady came to the drive-thru cursing was bad we will never go there again i saw a lady catch her attention i hope she resolved it because she should not even be employed with that attitude geez
The worst place ever! No soap to wash your hands. The restaurant itself was extremely dirty. Food was cold and took forever. We got our money back and left. Never again will I go there. If I could this would be scored 0. Too bad Ryan Wolf is no longer around to check these dirty establishments. Can you imagine these employees using the restroom and not even washing their hands...?????
