Food was very good. Waiters very nice and friendly. We go in once or twice a week. The manager stands around , never acknowledges . She seems to be aloof. She acts like she doesn’t want to be in restaurant.
The food has really gone down hill. We have been going there for years and we were always satisfied customers. The last couple of times have been disappointing. Examples: Cocktail shrimp wasn't even full serving, Cold fish, and the cool shrimp salad hardly has any shrimp and is mixed with other ingredients to make it look plentiful.
Was there yesterday for lunch. First time here. It's obviously popular because it was busy. I was not impressed with the overall taste of the food and neither was those that accompanied me. The seafood was very bland to our palate like hospital food. My baked potato was good, could of been better without the butter because it already had sour cream on it. Our waiter was very nice along with other staff members. It did take a long time for our food to get to us. And they mixed up the calamari with onion rings...lol. The dinner rolls were like 2nd baked, hard and crispy. My other guest had fish, he said no flavor and was mushy inside. Not impressed enough to revisit.
The restaurant was not too busy. Laura was our server. She was nice-just had too many tables to keep up with. Food was nothing special. Expected more for the money. Hard rolls, had to get up and track down tea refills, ketchup, etc. wanted a great seafood place but this didn’t do it for me!
My wife and I had the half orders of the fried shrimp and bowl of clam chowder. The shrimp was good but the clam chowder was terrible. Was very fishy tasting. Not normal for good clam chowder. And the prices are outrageous for this area. Wont go back again!
On 3/24/22 We went to join in a family members Birthday dinner. Margaret and i arrived first about 5:45 pm as she is a victim of stroke 3 yrs ago walks with a cane and doesn't stand for long periods. For whatever reason they will not seat a group of 6 or more unless the entire group is present. I explained her stroke and they finally agreed to let her sit as we waited for the rest to arrive. The birthday group arrived except 1 couple. They refused to seat our group until the other 2 were there. Now if it was busy i might have understood but there were only 8 other people in the whole place. In a restaurant that sets well over 100 people. While we waited we had ordered drinks 1 coke and 1 Corona with lime it Corona arrived with Lemon which am allergic to in the bottle. I was told by Mgr they don't serve Lime and ask for us to be seated again they said all would have to be present . They could have seated us let us order appetizers and drinks Their meals have taken a large price jump The meal i was ordering was $31.00 and Margarets was$20.00 with drinks and appetizers would have been close to$90.00 or better. Their refusal to accommodate us and seat us we said if they weren't going to seat us we would leave and go 1 block down to another place She {mgr} did not seem to care as i started to leave she tried to charge me for the Coke ans the Corona that they contaminated with Lemon and I refused to pay and walked out and told the Mgr i would never darken their doorway ever again....................Their income lose from our group was a least $300.00 and 7 customers that will never return...................
We have been eating here for over 25 years and will not return here for their horrible treatment towards us. Our 4 year old granddaughter does not like seafood, and we have always been treated with respect when we bring in food for her. Except this time. We always ask first to bring in outside food as the chicken here is fried in the same oil as the fish which is why my granddaughter won't eat the chicken here. As a paying customer who will always order something for our granddaughter at this establishment such as a dessert, but this is the first time we were not allowed in. The manager was not understanding at all, therefore they lost a long time customer.
Had fish and shrimp plates. The fries were not salted. The side salad was iceberg lettuce with two slices of tomato. They added a red onion ring on top. Overall the meal was average.
Out of oysters? Calamari was the best of week-long trip. Nice facility. Staff was excellent..
Stopped in for lunch on a Sunday and they were out of oysters. Disappointing. I had the boiled shrimp and it was fine. My wife had some clam chowder and she could not eat it because it was too thick and not good. Would not go back
