Usually it's pretty good but my wife and I went for some chicken guisado tacos. They were so dry and they were in chicken chunks instead of the shredded juicy chicken. Called and complained and the management didn't care. It's been at least a week since I made this review and management asked me to contact them and give my number, I did and it was all for show. They never called back. Excuses is all they ever have.
Food is good but every time we go they always forget something. We are always missing a taco or a side or even a whole plate once. And we ask for salsa and pico de gallo last time and they said either or, like what? We order several plates for different family members and everyone eats different things, thats ridiculous. If it wasnt for those mistakes and the fact that the employees stopped wearing mask i would have rated it higher for good food at least.
honestly i hated it , workers were rude cashier looked pist n rude, , they had no sweet tea n said they weren't making anymore, it was early enough that they could have made more , so i got regular asked for sugar n lemon she gives me 1 pk of sugar and half a dried up baby lime. asked for coffee they said they didnt have any and they weren't making more, food was ok tasted like it was frozen n then reheated, not authentic Mexican food ,so between a very rude atmosphere and there fake Mexican food, we will never go back .. i never give review but i was so upset last night i had too..3/28/22
We went the other day ordered our food within 2 mins waited 35 mins till I asked what was going on gave them time seeing as we ordered 10 tacos then they started scrambling no one knew where our ticket was so we waited another 10 mins for them to figure it out and make the tacos then when we got our food tacos weren't very filled at all I won't be back again that's for sure
Service was good but it took a long time to bring out the order. Mostly bland but not bad. Even the salsa was tasteless. I ordered a ground beef Pato and received a carne guisada Pato. Reminded me of Dinty Moore canned beef. There are too many very good Mexican Restaurants in Harlingen to choose from so El Pato doesn't make the short list.
The drive thru is just as bad as Whataburger. It’s so slow! You’re in line for about 30 minutes. I thought it was fast food. I don’t think they have anyone in charge there. Do the owners ever go out there to check and see how they’re doing. The speed, the customer service, the product is is any good that’s coming out.
We decided to get some fast food while our vacation. Everything went smooth, we ordered, got our drinks, and soon after we got our food. Staff was friendly. I forgot to take pictures ;/
The time is 8:07am and the restaurant is still not open I honked because no one was on the intercom and some rude girl wearing a hat reading glasses and Khaki pants comes out the back door yelling at my children and I saying "WE'RE NOT OPEN YET AND EITHER WAY THE FOOD WON'T BE READY FOR ANOTHER 20 MINUTES" I felt threatened and embarrassed in front of my children. Sucks that one bad employee can ruin the restaurants name.
I love this place. Been coming here since I was a little girl! Great service and tacos are ALWAYS perfect!Google “Rio Red Sky” for more!
I would give more stars!!! Love their guisado plate. Oh my goodness - so delicious. I can only eat here when I visit Texas. Wish you guys would open a location in Georgia. I'd eat there!
