So glad to have found this place. Amazing carnitas and menudo. Excellent attention to detail on To Go and DoorDash orders. I highly recommend them.

Even though the menu is a little different from what we expected...the food was EXCELLENT, prepared quickly, and we quickly realized that we would be coming back again and again.

This place was becoming a favorite until i went to eat here for lunch almost done eating a cockroach comes walking down the wall to our table and crawled on our table. lord have mercy I was trembling.. oh no no no.. I don't do cockroaches

Good Mexican Food...and clean. Timing for getting the food out, very fast. Affordable, so that is great!

We love this place. It is quintessential Mexican, with both Tex-Mex, and interior Mexican items on the menu, with some items for those who like burgers and fries. The shrimp dishes are my personal favorites, but my wife loves their variety platter. There is enough food for two meals for us senior citizens, and at the very low prices, that is two meals for less than other Mexican restaurants in the area. Tortillas are prepared fresh, and they serve chips with three types of sauce. Service is sometimes fast, and sometimes slow, but always accurate, and fresh, and hot. If you don't want to hear Spanish, don't go there, because the big screen TVs are on Spanish channels. There is a bar for those who want drinks, and live music on weekends. The best measure of a Mexican restaurant is that most of their customers are Mexican, and they look happy with everything.

This has become a weekly spot for us. The green salsa is outstanding and a bit addictive! The menu is huge and varied and the cooking style is authentic with great portions. The Charo beans have to be the best I have had anywhere in the DFW area! One of my favorite dishes is the fajita beef with sweet onions and poblano peppers! They have just about everything on the menu including a build your own combination. The servers are wonderful and very attentive. Try it out, you won't be disappointed!

First trip to El Tejas And love the green salsa ... it tasted like roasted green tomatoes and had a kick to it but not overwhelming to the tastebuds. The chips were light, crunchy and fresh. The red salsa was good too but didn’t stand out as different from any other restaurant. The food is not “Tex-Mex” so don’t expect sour cream and cheese on your dishes. Most of us had the mixed fajitas (chicken and beef) which was their #1 plate ... the fajitas came out on a plate not a sizzling platter and appeared to be more stir fried or steamed than grilled. That was disappointing as the sound of the sizzling platter and smell of the meat on the hot platter is a big part of the enjoyment of fajitas. It does come with guacamole even though our waitress told us our dinner did not ... we all ordered a side of guacamole so we were surprised when we got both (and charged for both) guacamole plates ... the food all had a god flavor but nothing that makes it stand out from any other average Mexican restaurant. I might give it a second chance if some of my friends want yo go but it would not be my first choice of restaurants.
