One of the best menudos in Fort Worth for sure! This place is going to be super popular soon. It started off as a whole in the wall, now it’s grown into a full bar and more open space. This place is a must if live close by. The best taco shop in a 5 mile radius!Order the torta and the menudo!
I ordered two each of the al pastor and Barbacoa tacos and a cup of Elotes. I also really love the habanero salsa they serve here! It is very spicy and oh so delicious! I also enjoy this salsa in the elotes! I will certainly be back for more!
As a Mexican from Mexico I can say these are some of THE best tacos. The salsa were flavorful with a kick. Tortillas weren't your average tortillas neither. They were nice and thick with that homemade taste. Meat was juicy and flavorful. Most taco places the meats don't taste all that different from each other but here it tastes like what it was. I was also glad that the tripa was beef since most places it's pork and I don't eat pork so this is a gem for me.
Y U M M Y ! ??Hands down the best tacos in DFW! Got two tacos. Too darn good. Ordered six more! That's how good they are. The meat were super juicy and the tortillas were piping hot! (Almost burnt myself lol) Everything made fresh.Oh, and great customer service too! Would definitely come back here again. I highly recommend this place ???
We love coming here for the birria tacos! They are absolutely delicious! The rice is really good and flavorful too! Great customer service and pretty quick when we order. It can get busy and there's not much seating inside but I believe they are expanding at the moment!
These were quite literally the best tacos I’ve ever had.I got the taco platter which was 3 tacos with rice and beans. I also got an additional 2 tacos. I tried the barbacoa, asada, pastor, carnita and chorizo. My favorite was the barbacoa with the carnitas being a a very close second. The prices were extremely reasonable, my plate was $15.25 with the extra tacos.
Update: I went back during the week and it was not as busy this time. The tacos were cooked perfectly, not greasy at all. ??My husband said his tacos, beans and rice was delicious as well. A++Customer service was good. If you speak Spanish or are learning to you can practice it here. ? Staff is well versed in Spanish and English. It is busy during dinner hours. People are sitting in the (not so big establishment) and eatting. I did notice their carryout business is booming! Street tacos are well priced, $2.25 each. The tacos are well filled with your selection of meat etc, there is plenty of onions and cilantro to top it off. Each taco has 2 corn tortillas for stability and they are perfectly made so your taco doesn't fall apart. I did not try their rice or beans but I plan to go back and try them both. The only reason I did not give 5 stars was because the corn tortilla, it was a little on the greasy side for me but I brought it home and blotted it with some pt and reloaded my taco and it was yummy! I do not like really hot salsa so the lovely lady handing me my order reccomended 2 of their salsas to try and let me say; that "green salsa" was amazing and I loved it!FYI: I also seen a sign next to Taco Chon saying, opening soon, bar and food so I think they are expanding to offer more of a restaurant experience.
