Negatives first: There’s no entrance into parking lot (which is small) from frontage road (you have to go down and turn in front of Panda Express and come in through the back or use the unpaved road right after you turn). Brisket came out cold which was a bummer when you pay an extra $2 to get it added to the meat meals. The waitress seamed to be short with us but still overall good service, could have been a long day or just in a bad mood.Positives: We were greeted immediately as we entered and sat quickly for being a larger party. Food was great (minus the hot links which weren’t bad just not traditional East Texas Style and chips were greasy). Food came out fairly quickly as well. The chips and queso were good but half the chips came out greasy. LOVED the brisket baked potato! Drinks come in plastic cups that you can take home with you which was a great souvenir for us. Sides are average size for 1 person. My husband and daughter did the 4 meat pick with added sides and I got the brisket baked potato. We were all very satisfied. They offer 3 different BBQ’s on the table (Regular, Hot and North Carolina). The whole place was clean, even the bathrooms.They do offer a military discount of 10% which was nice.We would definitely visit this location again. Only reason for 4 stars is cause the brisket was cold.
Went in around 12:30 for lunch the place was not busy. There where 3 other tables. When we came in the girl who gave us r table didn't say a word to us. We got r food and it was cold and didn't taste very good. R waitress took r drinks to refill them forgot about refilling them and went to meet her boyfriend outside. It took about 45 minutes to get r food. We had to ask her for r appetizers that she forgot about. She bought us the appetizers after we got r food. After eating there myself and my son both ended up getting sick.
A very enjoyable lunch experience. I enjoyed the original ribs. The smoked sausage was average. The server, Cindy, was very attentive and pleasant.
Ate here today first time. This bbq ( I had sliced brisket) is now my top favorite!! The slaw and beans are so delicious. Wait staff was very attentive. Love it!!!! I will be back!!
The wait staff was terrible. Had to call on my cell phone to the Rib Crib at Greenville to get our waitress to our table! There was no ribs, pulled pork, or brisket really! The Appetizer came with the meal. The chicken fried steak was like a leftover. The appetizer was served with the meal really! The best was the fried pickles and the two White Russians!Please you all use to be really goodI guess we will find some where elseAlso a stall in the woman's toilet was blowing water out the mechanism when flushed.
Wasn't busy when entering the restaurant.Got the super spud with chopped brisket..The brisket is dry and hard bits, unimpressed/unediable brisket for the price of $13.00 for a super spud... about 1 scoop of pre made brisket.The brisket was warm/Cold ish on top of the baked potato which was hot.Never got a single drink refill, had to ask for a drink Togo to get anything.The original and firehouse bbq sauce is pretty good, the only reason this review is 3 stars.Brisket is a 2 of 10.Note, the strawberry lemonade is good.
My wife ate here a few months ago and raved about the food and service. Today we were in Greenville on business so we stopped in. I should have suspected something when at 12:30 the parking lot was half empty. Inside there were no more than 14-15 patrons scattered about. My wife ordered the 4 rib plate, I had the 3 rib and sliced brisket plate. It was so bad that neither of us could finish eating it. I've eaten BBQ all over the state and if I had to bet money, I'd bet that both the ribs and the brisket here were baked in an oven. They didn't have even a passing semblance of smoke color, smell, or taste. I will give extra high marks on the potato salad and coleslaw. They were outstanding. Thankfully that kept me from leaving completely pissed off.
Have to say I was impressed with this being a chain BBQ spot. Service was good even though they were short staffed they were hustling. Reasonable prices, I’ll be back!
Food was really good and hot. Matthew was the best. He's got humor and a no holds personality. Made for a really good evening after a long day.
Baked potato was brought out cold, I sent ot back to warm up. Brought out a entirely new potato that was warm . Brisket on the potato was awful, , most of it was fat and the seasoning was bland at best. Husband's order was wrong...for a 2 meat plate it looked like a child's plate!Service was not very good.... I'm a great tipper...if my server is good I tip very well!
