The deep fried mushrooms and onion are yummy.The chick is juicy with the cheese.A good place for hangout and drink.
A staple of DFW is Saltgrass, a chain I've been going to for years even after leaving the TX region. While I do think they've made mistakes removing menu items (the steak soup, for example), it's still a great option if you're looking for a more relaxed, less expensive steakhouse option.
Went for an early dinner and were seated right away. He had fried shrimp and I had the tenderloin tips. These were beautifully cooked in a cognac pepper sauce on a bed of garlic mashed potatoes. Warm bread and butter was served with our drinks and the service was fast, friendly and knowledgeable. I think our waitress's name was Carlee. Portions were huge and we both ended up asking for boxes. First time in a Texas Steakhouse and Saltgrass didn't disappoint. The restaurant was spacious with a mixture of country music and classic rock being played at an acceptable level. The restaurant was starting to get busy just as we were leaving (6pm) and seemed popular with locals - always a good sign !
I wished I lived in the area so I could return over and over again. The food was divine, the atmosphere great and I wished every restaurant had staff like this. The maitre d’ just made my day (4/23, late evening).
Done exclusively well would be my quick review. Mouth watering salmon, seasoned to perfection. The smoked Mac and Cheese was the perfect combination. It was like the Batman and Robin of culinary delight. We ended it with a hugh slice of carrot cake. So Darn Good.
Great place to stop at! We were in town for a wedding and had a groom’s family lunch here. The best part of the lunch was our server, Jermaine, who was very friendly, quick, and attentive. I ordered a weekend special Prime Rib with a Caesar Salad and a baked potato. All of the food was spectacular! Thank you for a great lunch and a great service!
I am not one to leave negative reviews; however, our experience at this Salt Grass was not the best. I understand places being understaffed, but our visit was in the middle of the day and it was NOT busy. It took several minutes for staff to recognize we needed to be seated. After being at a table, we were promptly greeted by wait staff but that was the one and only prompt service we received. I can overlook some things but while this establishment isn't the most expensive place to eat, it is far from the cheapest. My food was cool...butter didn't melt well on my potatoe. I tried to get the attention of several staff members with no success as I wanted condiments. Finally, our waitress came back, but it was a little too late for me. I am taking most of my meal home in a box though because it was very good food.. Don't think I'll be back though. And this was my first visit here. Sorry.
Well I guess the stimulus money must have gone to the owners wallet and he ran off to a foreign country.This place used to be so good but, after tonight’s dining experience….. they will never get my money again!! From the moment we walked in the excuses started…”sorry we’re short staffed” was all anyone said. It was well rehearsed by all staff members. Funny thing was, the restaurant wasn’t even half full.Got our appetizer with our dinner. Never saw our server again till we finally asked the hostess to get our check.I’m going to stop here because I have nothing nice to say. How sad the owners aren’t willing to pay people to do their jobs but instead arm them with the tires response of “ we’re short staffed”.Good riddance Saltgrass. I’m spending my money at real restaurants

We go here often. Today, per usual we had great service even with 10 people. We got a variety of food from steak to prime rib to salmon. All good. The waiter kept cake for us and even provided us candles. He even got a slice of Candy Haven cake ❤❤❤
