I had to write a review after taking this photo it looked to good! I ordered the Dragon Fly Roll and the Louisiana Roll, and washed it down with a Sapporo beer … of course! Very fresh and it stayed warm the entire time I ate it. The inside of the place was chilly (pack a long sleeve), but other than that, it was perfect!
Daan Sushi was an impulse stop for us. We greatly enjoyed the food and service here. The food - both cooked and raw - was excellent and enjoyed by everyone in our group.There was no wait to be seated on a weekday evening when nearby chain restaurants had long wait times. We were eating delicious food before we would have been seated at many nearby restaurants.
By far one of the best Japanese places I have been to. The atmosphere was nice, and the amount of food you get it a lot considering other places charge the same price for half the amount of food, and it was all high quality. I will recommend this place to anyone who enjoys sushi or Japanese food in general, and will be sure to visit whenever I'm in the area.
The food was super good, would def go back, service was a bit slow but we didn’t mind one bit.
overpriced and small portions. slow service but the food was decent, not for the price though. got grossed out while waiting for our check because i saw one of the sushi chefs scratch his ear with his gloves and go back to making sushi...
Excellent sushi ? time after time, quality food
I hate to have to come here and post this because we love Daan sushi, but here’s what happened to us just now. As frequent customers we never have had any issues and the foods always been good. We ordered 4 sushi rolls last night and a few minutes into eating them realized they were not good. Noticed the salmon was brown (not smoked) and it was chewy. Let me say again we have had sushi from here multiple times and it’s been great so we knew something wasn’t right so we took a pic and threw it out. Went to get our refund the next day as they were already closed for the night, took our pic and receipt, and they argued with us the entire time. Told us they make fresh sushi only, asked my boyfriend (during covid times) to come smell the salmon and look at it. Then said only one roll seemed to look bad according to the pic AND GAVE A $10 GIFTCARD when we spent $70. Unbelievable they would treat their customers and recurring customers at that this way. We supported them multiple times throughout the pandemic for them to not take care of their customers. I would not recommend coming here or getting their sushi.

May i ask why my miso soup had no tofu at all in it? This place has made so many mistakes on my orders that I try to let them redeem themselves and I’m done doing it. Your prices do not reflect the quality of food you provide. There are better sushi places in the area…
This restaurant is kind of hidden off to the side near the Grapevine Mills Mall. It's a very unassuming restaurant, but the food is great. All the rolls we had were tasty and the hot sake was pretty good. We'd go there again.
