I know the good folks of Texas love them some Waffle House but Ive been to 3 locations and all 3 of them are a 1 star or less. This location is ran by a bunch of teens who are probably learning how to cook in the job. My waffle was soggy. I sat at the counter and they were splashing dish water all over the place. You can look on the ground and tell they DO NOT CLEAN UP after customers leave the tables. They wipe everything underneath the tables onto the floor. I had to ask for syrup packets because the bottled syrup was foggy looking. Had to ask for plastic forks because the forks they gave me had food still stuck between it. I asked for my eggs to be fried hard they brought me sunny side up eggs and never fixed it. I still left a tip because that’s just who I am but they definitely did not deserve it. The entire restaurant was unclean.
We sat down on the section where we waif to be seated for about 30 minutes and literally no one acknowledged us. Two guys came in and went straight to the bar section and were greeted. No one told us we could sit there and I know they saw us waiting. Since I thought they were short staffed we didn't pressure them or asked if bar was open since they were using it for dirty dishes. If we would've known we would've Seated ourselves. We left and all I'm gonna say is horrible service. They don't acknowledge you. Learn customer service skills before applying at a restaurant. Disgusting
In my experience most Waffle Houses seem dingy and run down. Not this one! It looks new (I think it is 3 or 4 years old though), is clean inside, the service is great, and of course the waffles are excellent!!
Last night we were starving because there was not enough time for us to have dinner before going to the concert at the Texas Trust Theater. Immediately after the show we went to the Waffle House on Pioneer. Things were a bit disheveled because there were only two people working last night January 16, 2021. The server named Tangie(I may be spelling it a little wrong) was very kind but tremendously overworked.The grill operator really was not helping her at all (even though she was making over $14 an hour according to a sign on the window). At the very least in between doing orders of when there was a slow period she could have at least helped clear away tables.Miss Tangie was cleaning off tables, taking order, serving food, and being polite but you can tell that she was extremely overwhelmed, tired and frazzled because of a lack of staffing at this location. This should never happen at a 24-hour restaurant and Waffle House you need to do better!!!I didn't get a look at the cooks name tag but she was very snippy, uncaring and mildly unpleasant, not to mention a lot of the food was overcooked. The bacon was VERY chard on multiple orders that came out and you had to eat around those parts. I ordered the patty melt with bacon and it was overcooked on one side but I was so hungry I was just going to scrape it off and look over it then I picked it up it was black on the other. I made a request to have it remade and in front of us she retoasted the bread and added cheese and took the meat off the previous sandwich. I never did get any onions on my patty melt which was disappointing as well as the crunchy double order hash browns I received. I was so hungry and because of the late hour it wasn't a lot of choices so I just suffered through it.Half of the restaurant was marked off so guest could sit at the counter and like three booths because there was not enough staff to open the whole restaurant. Whoever the manager is for this location really needs to work on staffing because you lost a lot of money last night. To be quite honest we should have been paid to eat there.People in groups were waiting and got tired so they left, not to mention who knows if Tangie made any tips for all of her hard work because people were getting tired of waiting and left. My party made sure we tipped her though because we could see how hard she was working. Waffle House DO BETTER!
The environment vibe was welcoming fast pace and over all felt like grandma's kitchen. "Princess" our waitress was outstanding and very attentive, cracking humorous jokes making us (adult family of 6) enjoy our time after our Lil sisters soccer game. The food was really good, didn't wait long for it to be given to us for sure will be going back with my family soon❤️
I’ve had this issue twice at this location. When I come in to get my order, no one speaks to me or greets me. They just look and walk pass you without any acknowledgment. I had to literally stop and ask for my food that was on the counter. And once I let the cashier know of the I professionalism, she made an excuse that “she was in the back” instead of apologizing. I called back to complain to the manager. They left me on hold and the call dropped and once I called back they did not answer. I will definitely be calling corporate and I won’t be patronizing this location again. What’s the point of good food sometimes, if the customer service is sovery poor.
You get what you get at Waffle House. You get a quick meal, done mostly to your order and at a reasonable price.

Walked in just a few minutes ago. Business was not busy at all. We wanted a booth since it was 3 of us. We looked around & there was one close to the restroom or one that needed to be wiped down. When asked if we wanted a booth we said yes please. An older white employee said " ugh yall always want the one I have to clean " and started to walk to clean it in a very frustrated way. We left feeling very unwelcome. The table looked like it has been dirty for a while with flies around. Bad costumer service if your having a bad day go home. Never coming back to this location
Great clean and hard working staff. Yummy food that is cooked right out in the open. Just don't forget to sign in or you can't be attended. This location gets full quick since waffle houses are know to be small. But once you sign in the wait is not too long and you will be out sooner than expected.
