The food was actually pretty good for your average sit-down Mexican dining. However, the service was abhorrent and slow. For an hour long meal, the server brought the drinks and fulfilled the orders, but nothing else. We had to flag down after waiting 20 minutes for a check despite the server knowing we were done eating that long. The drinks were never once refilled, and sadly small portions for pricing. I can see many chances for improvement and know they can do better, but I sadly cannot recommend did changes are made.
We were a large party of 40persons whom had just come from a funeral. We waited for them to open at 11am Friday morning. We all came in the staff didn't looked thrilled about it. We had not made a reservation. They got to work getting drinks, chips, salsa and separating who was on who's check. The were professional, efficient and correct. I had the Chicken enchiladas with beans rice and white sauce. I have to say the chips and salsa were fresh and great flavor. The caseso was not up to par with everything else. It had a 7-Eleven flavor and texture. Other then that the beans were by far the best I've tasted. The enchiladas were awesome as well. The price was market value and well worth it. I highly recommend this restaurant. I would like to thank the staff for making our day of mourning a little bit brighter.
I have tasted half of the menu and have not been disappointed
Came in on Saturday night. 4 adults 2 children. Ordering was a challenge as we didn't speak much Spanish and our server didn't speak much English. Our server had to constantly get questions about menu items translated by another employee. The food was tasty however. I was surprised on the check we were charged for chips and salsa. I didn't notice it until after we left. The first basket was brought to the table and we didn't ask for it so we assumed it was complimentary. We asked for 1 refill of chips as our dinners took a bit. I have never been to a Mexican restaurant where you didn't get chips and salsa complementary if you were ordering drinks and meals. We had to constantly get our servers attention for things. Napkins, silverware, drink refills etc. The icing on the whole experience was when we waited so long on the check that my husband and our friends left the restaurant and I'm still hunting for the server to have her run my card. This was our second visit to this location so we were really shocked how much the service level changed overnight. We may come back again because the food really was that good. I will say that if we come back in again and the server we had is our only option we're going to turn around and leave and go somewhere else.
Rice was a little too salty, everything else was okay. Drink was delicious.
The worst place I have gotten food. If I cloud rate it lower I would. The staff cared very little that both my boyfriend and I had COLD food. When they convinced us to wait for new food the food still came out cold, and the waiter just pointed the finger at the people in the kitchen. Saying he had nothing to do with the food prep. We tried to eat here because this place was very well rated but we where showed this food joint definitely needs to show gratitude toward paying customers who where already disappointed once.
Hands down the best Mexican food we've ever had! This is not a mediocre restaurant. Everything has such amazing flavors! Yes even the salad!
Took awhile for hostes to acknowledge us. Server was good. Shrimp soup was good. Hrs say closes at 10 pm. It was not even 9pm and there was about 4 other tables and we were denied drinks from the bar. We were told they were closing early. About 10 minutes later I saw a customer at the bar with a beer.
I love Habaneros in Grand Prairie Tx!!!It was a great experience and that restaurant made my date night ? ☺ ? more special ❤ with my husband! He got enchiladas with rice and beans and I got the Fajita Salad ? with everything on it! No complaints on food or drinks. But we surely loved the karaoke ? night bc I sang a song by Selena called, "I Could Fall In Love." Thanks to the restaurant and Karaoke ?Good job and God Bless You Habaneros!!
We came here on Sunday afternoon. December 5, 2021. Our server was polite, wearing way too much cologne but he was a nice guy. My husband had enchiladas and I had tortilla soup. The food was hot and tasty and came to us exactly the way we ordered it. The restaurant was absolutely freezing cold, it is very difficult to enjoy a meal when you are uncomfortable. So often this happens when the kitchen staff is allowed to set the temperature rather than someone in the dining room determining what might be comfortable for the guests. Other than this, the experience was good and we will return. Salsa is spicy.
